NEET MDS 2023: The online application forms for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters in Dental courses or NEET MDS for the year 2023 have been made accessible for interested candidates since the 9th of January, 2023. And the forms shall remain available till the 30th of January, 2023. Candidates can now get themselves registered by visiting the official website.

Who can apply?

  • For admission to the Master in Dental Surgery course, one must possess a recognised degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery awarded by a university or institute in India.
  • Candidate must be registered with the State Dental Council and should have obtained provisional or permanent registration.
  • He/ She should have undergone the compulsory rotatory internship of a year in an approved/ recognised dental college.

How to apply for NEET MDS 2023?

Documents Required

  • Thumb impression: The size of the image should be less than 80kb and in .jpg/.jpeg format.
  • Photo: The size of the image should be less than 80kb and in .jpg/.jpeg format. The photograph should be in colour with white background.
  • Signature: The size of the image should be between 20 to 100 kb and in .jpg or .jpeg format.

Steps to follow

  • First, visit the official website of NEET MDS 2023
  • Then click on the ‘NEET MDS’ button
  • After that, choose the ‘Application Link’ button
  • From the given options, click on ‘to register to get registered
  • There fill in the necessary details to proceed with the procedure
  • Upload the essential documents
  • After completion of these steps, pay the application fee
  • Finishing this, take a printout copy of the application form and payment receipt for future reference.

Application Fee

For the NEET MDS 2023 application fee, candidates can make the payment using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by the banks in India or can also opt for other available modes. The category-wise application fee amount is as mentioned below:

General, OBC, and EWSRs. 4,250/-
SC, ST, PWDRs. 3,250/-

Exam Pattern

  • It will be a computer-based examination having multiple-choice questions.
  • The syllabus for the exam shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabus taught during the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 as amended from time to time.
  • The paper will have 240 questions and candidates will get 3 hours to complete it.
  • Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct response and 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect responses.

Note

  • No State Government/ Private Dental College/ University shall be conducting any separate entrance for admission to their MDS Courses.
  • NEET MDS 2023 is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to MDS Courses which will include the following:
    • All India 50% quota MDS seats for all States/Union territories of India.
    • State quota seats for all States/Union territories of India.
    • MDS Courses at all Private Dental Colleges, Institutions & Universities all across the country
    • MDS Courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
    • Screening exam for dental surgeons (BDS & MDS) for Short Service Commission in Army Dental Corps
