As the government recently announced, the NEET PG Counselling 2021 has started on 12th January 2022. This announcement came after the Supreme court’s hearing on the NEET PG counselling for the case which accepted the validity of 27% OBC and 10% EWS reservation.

NEET PG 2021 Results
The National Board of Examination in Medical Science (NBEMS) released the scorecard to be used on NEET PG counselling 2021 on the 9th of January, for which the result was released earlier on 28th September 2021.
Delay in counselling
This year, the NEET PG counselling process was delayed after a plea was filed in the court against the government’s decision to make changes in the reservation criteria. This counselling is supposed to provide admission to medical students in post-graduate courses in government colleges and over 100 private colleges.
The delay in the admission process and the matter of reservation criteria made students protest which ended after the Supreme Court’s intervention. The Health Minister said that “NEET-PG counselling will begin by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) from 12 January 2022, following the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, as assured by the Ministry of Health to the resident doctors. Also, this will give more strength to the country in the fight against Corona. My best wishes to all the candidates,”
