Remuneration

The remuneration for NEHU Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 will be at the rate of Rs. 1,500/- per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000/- per month, conditions apply. The posts are purely for a defined short duration and are of the nature of Guest Faculty.

No other emoluments, allowances, or Medical reimbursement are admissible. No vacation salary is payable, and Guest/ Part-time faculty will not be given the benefit of pension, gratuity, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for NEHU Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026.

Educational Qualification

The eligibility criteria and other terms and conditions for the candidates applying under NEHU Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 shall be as per UGC Regulations 2018/ AICTE latest regulations, as the case may be, and their subsequent notifications/ guidelines, if any. Candidates should hold the relevant postgraduate qualification and specialisation as mentioned against each department in the vacancy table above.

For the post of Architecture under the School of Technology, the qualification is specified separately:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B.Arch with minimum 60 per cent marks and three years of relevant professional experience, OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or equivalent to B.Arch and Master’s Degree in Architecture or in allied subjects of Architecture with minimum 60 per cent marks at either level and one year of relevant professional experience, OR
BE Civil Engineering and Master’s in Structural Design.

Candidates should note that mere fulfilment of the essential qualifications will not entitle them to be called for an interview. The University reserves its right to shortlist the total number of candidates to be called for an interview.

Selection Process

The selection for NEHU Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 shall be made by the University purely on a temporary basis. The term of appointment is for the current semester only, or till a regular faculty joins the department, whichever is earlier.

The date and time of the interview will be notified by the concerned Department. For external candidates, the interview may be conducted online.
