The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) located in Nirjuli of Itanagar, is accepting online applications from eligible candidates for admission into the undergraduate programmes. An entrance test is organized to select candidates, which is named as NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE). The NEE 2023 composes of four entrance examinations, namely:
- NEE-I for Base Module (Certificate) programme
- NEE-II for B.Tech programme
- NEE-II for B.Sc. in Forestry programme
- NEE-III (Lateral Entry) for B.Tech programme

Eligibility Criteria
- NEE-I for Base Module (Certificate) programme: Candidates should be class 10 passed or appearing
- NEE-II for B.Tech programme: Candidates should be class 12 (PCM) passed or appearing, Class 12 (Voc)/ ITI/ NERIST Certificate in AE/ CE/ ECE/ EE/ ME passed or appearing
- NEE-II for B.Sc. in Forestry programme: Candidates should be class 12 (PCB) passed or appearing
- NEE-III (Lateral Entry) for B.Tech programme: Candidates should be 3 years Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering & Technology passed or appearing
NERIST Admission 2023: How to apply?
Before proceeding
- An E-mail ID for registration and for receiving all future communications till the admission process is over and subsequently if admitted.
- One Mobile Number to receive SMS-based notifications/communications related to the online application; Admit card etc till the admission process is over and subsequently if admitted.
- Facility with internet connectivity.
- A recent scanned passport-sized colour photograph (for scanning and uploading in “.JPEG/.JPG” format only. File size of scanned photograph should not be more than 100 KB).
- Your scanned signature using a Blue/ Black pen on a white sheet (for scanning and uploading in “.JPEG/.JPG” format only. File size of scanned photograph should not be more than 100 KB).
Steps to follow
- Candidates should go to the official website of NERIST
- Then click on the “Online Application for NEE 2023” button given on the home page of the NEE Application Portal
- After this, click on the “New Registration” button and get registered
- Applicants are required to fill up the details in the application form
- In the next step, the applicants are required to upload a scanned image file of his/her Photograph and Signature one by one as instructed
- Then fill in the academic details
- Now, applicants need to choose an examination centre for the test
- Finishing this, pay the application fee as per your category and submit the form
- Do not forget to take a printout copy of the application form for NERIST Admission 2023 and the payment receipt for future reference.
Application Fees
Candidates can opt to make the application fee payment of NERIST Admission 2023 through a Debit card, Credit card, or Net banking at their convenience. The category-wise application fees are listed below:
