NIACL Recruitment 2025: The New India Assurance Company Ltd (NIACL) is inviting applications for the recruitment of 550 Administrative Officers (Generalists & Specialists) in Scale-I cadre for the year 2025. This recruitment is aimed at selecting capable professionals for various specialist and generalist positions within the organization through an online examination and interview process. Pay Scale
Selected candidates of NIACL Recruitment 2025 will receive a basic pay of Rs. 50,925/- in the scale of Rs. 50925-2500 (14) – 85925 – 2710 (4) – 96765 and other allowances as applicable. Gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 90,000/- per month in metropolitan centers. Additional benefits include coverage under National Pension System, gratuity, leave travel subsidy, medical benefits, group personal accident insurance, and eligibility for Company leased accommodation as per norms.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Minimum age is 21 years and maximum age is 30 years as on 01.08.2025. Age relaxations are available for various categories including SC/ ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), PwBD, ex-servicemen, and others as per government guidelines with a maximum age relaxation not exceeding 45 years.
Educational Qualification
- Generalists: Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD).
- Specialists: Qualifications vary as per discipline, for example:
- Risk Engineers: Engineering degree with 60% marks.
- Automobile Engineers: Degree/ diploma in Automobile Engineering or related engineering branches with 60% marks.
- Legal Specialists: Graduate/ postgraduate in law with 60% marks.
- Accounts Specialists: Chartered Accountant/ Cost Accountant or MBA Finance/ PGDM Finance/ M.Com with 60% marks.
- AO (Health): Medical, dental, Ayurveda, Homeopathy degree with valid council registration and minimum 60% marks.
- IT Specialists: Degree in IT, Computer Science or MCA with 60% marks.
- Business Analysts: Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science with 60% marks.
- Company Secretary: ACS/ FCS from ICSI and graduation/ postgraduation with 60% marks.
- Actuarial Specialists: Graduate/ postgraduate with 60% marks plus cleared minimum four actuarial papers from IAI or IFoA.
To be eligible for NIACL Recruitment 2025, the educational qualifications must be recognized by the Government of India or equivalent bodies, declared on or before 01.08.2025.
Selection Process
The selection procedure for NIACL Recruitment 2025 will be done in three phases:
- Phase I: Preliminary Online Examination (Objective Test) with separate sections for English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.
- Phase II: Main Online Examination consisting of Objective Tests and a Descriptive Test (English language letter writing and essay).
- Phase III: Interview of candidates shortlisted from Phase II. Weightage is 75% for mains exam and 25% for interview.
Exam Pattern
Preliminary Exam (Phase I)
It will be of 60 minutes with 100 marks divided into three sections:
- English Language – 30 questions of 30 marks
- Reasoning Ability – 35 questions of 35 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude – 35 questions of 35 marks
Main Exam (Phase II)
It will be conducted for 230 marks including an objective test and descriptive test.

- For specialists: There is an additional test for technical and professional knowledge in the relevant discipline, and the total duration is 150 minutes for objective tests possibly with descriptive test afterward.
- Penalty for wrong answers: One-fourth of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

- Certificate of eligibility for candidates who are Nepalese, Bhutanese, Tibetan refugee, or persons of Indian origin
