The registration process for NTA NEET UG 2025 has begun on the 7th of February, 2025. Interested candidates can visit the official website and apply now.

NTA NEET UG 2025 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification and announced that the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NTA NEET UG 2025 has begun on the 7th of February, 2025. Also, NTA confirmed that the entrance test for admission into undergraduate programmes of medical studies will be conducted on Sunday, 5th of May, 2025 for the session 2025-2026. And candidates can register themselves for the NTA NEET UG 2025 from 7th February to 7th March 2025.

Candidates who are going to appear for the NTA NEET UG 2025 will have the provision of choosing the language of examination. They can opt to write their examination in any of the following 13 languages which includes English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Who can apply?

List of eligibility criteria for NTA NEET UG 2025 Registration process is given in details below:

Age Criteria

  • Lower Age Limit: The candidate must have a minimum age of 17 years old at the time of admission or will complete 17 years by December 31st of the admission year.
  • Upper Age Limit: No upper age limit.

Educational Criteria

  • Candidates appearing for their Class 12 (or equivalent qualifying exam) in 2025 and awaiting results can apply for and take the NTA NEET UG 2025 exam. However, they will be ineligible for admission if they do not pass the qualifying exam with the required percentage by the first round of counseling. OR
  • Candidates who have already appeared or are appearing in the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects, and expect to achieve the required passing percentage, are eligible to apply and appear for NEET (UG). However, their admission will be confirmed only upon submission of documentary proof of passing the qualifying exam with the necessary subjects and percentage. OR
  • Candidates must have passed the Higher/ Senior Secondary Examination (or equivalent Class 12 exam) after 12 years of schooling. The last two years of this schooling must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (including practical exams), and either Mathematics or another elective subject, along with English at a level equivalent to the NCERT’s core English course. OR
  • The Intermediate/ Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/ Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject. OR
  • The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and the candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course. OR
  • B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/ Biotechnology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. OR
  • Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology; which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the IntermediateScience Examination of an Indian University/ Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English

Change in Paper Pattern

According to the official notice, the paper pattern for NTA NEET UG 2025 will be according to the pre-COVID format. The paper will have 45 questions each in Physics and Chemistry and 90 in Biology with no optional questions. The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes (3 hours).

How to apply for NTA NEET UG 2025?

NTA will receive the application forms for NTA NEET UG 2025 in online mode only and no other mode of registration will be made available. An applicant needs to register themselves only one time and can edit or modify the details. if required. However, if multiple forms are received against a single applicant; it will not be considered. Here are the steps, you need to follow for registrations:

  • Click on the link “Online Application Form” given below in this article
  • Then next, click on “New Candidate Registration Here” and read the mentioned instructions carefully
  • Enter your personal details, address info, password, and then submit
  • Once done, you will receive an application number, which you can use with the password set in the earlier step to log in and continue filling out the application form
  • Now, you will need to fill in some more information like your academic details, the medium of question paper sought, and choose your preferred examination centre
  • Then upload all the specific documents and images as asked, and pay the application fees
  • You will receive the registration number on submitting the online application form, which you need to keep with you for future references, and take a printout copy of the form
