Pay Scale
- Technician Grade-I Signal: Initial pay ₹29,200 per month at Level 5 of 7th CPC.
- Technician Grade-III: Initial pay ₹19,900 per month at Level 2 of 7th CPC.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (As on 1st July 2025)
- Technician Grade-I Signal: 18 to 33 years
- Technician Grade-III: 18 to 30 years
- There are certain age relaxations as well for candidates of various reserved categories.
Educational Qualifications
- Technician Grade-I Signal: Bachelor of Science in Physics/ Electronics/ Computer Science or equivalent, or a Diploma/ Degree in related engineering streams from recognised institutes.
- Technician Grade-III: Matriculation/ SSLC plus ITI certificate or Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades from recognised NCVT/ SCVT institutions. A diploma/ Degree in engineering is not accepted in lieu of ITI for these posts unless specified.
Selection Process
The RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 will be conducted in three stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) for each pay level.
- Document Verification (DV) for shortlisted candidates based on merit in CBT.
- Medical Examination as per prescribed standards.

Syllabus
- Technician Grade-I Signal includes General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basics of Computers, Mathematics, Basic Science & Engineering.
- Technician Grade-III includes Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science (Physics, Chemistry, Life Science), and General Awareness on current affairs.
Minimum qualifying marks vary by category with relaxations for PwBD candidates as applicable.

- Community certificates (SC/ ST, OBC-NCL, EWS) as per prescribed format.
