SAI Assistant Recruitment 2026: Apply Online For 91 Assistant Posts

SAI Assistant Recruitment 2026: The Sports Authority of India (SAI), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has released a notification for SAI Assistant Recruitment 2026. The organisation invites online applications for 91 regular posts of Assistant in Pay Matrix Level-6 (7th Central Pay Commission).

The recruitment is based on the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025 Public Disclosure List. Only candidates provisionally shortlisted in Annexure-I of the notification can apply. The online portal will remain open from 25th September 2026 to 15th October 2026 (5:00 PM).

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Candidates applying under SAI Assistant Recruitment 2026 who have attained the age of 30 years as on 25th September 2026 are not eligible to apply for the post of Assistant in SAI.
• Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and other eligible categories are entitled to age relaxation as per Government of India rules.
• Check the official notification for the complete details.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification as on 1st August 2025.
• This is the cut-off date of the essential educational qualification in the SSC CGL 2025 notification.

Other Conditions

• Only candidates whose names appear in the SSC CGL 2025 Public Disclosure List, within the prescribed ratio for each category, are invited to apply.
• The category filled in the SSC CGL 2025 application form will be treated as final.
• Access to the application is limited to candidates provisionally shortlisted in Annexure-I, using the same email ID given in SSC CGL 2025.

Selection Process

• Candidates who apply under SAI Assistant Recruitment 2026 will be arranged in order of merit based on their SSC CGL 2025 marks.
• Offers of appointment will be issued against the number of available vacancies, subject to fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.
• An invitation to submit the application form for SAI Assistant Recruitment 2026 does not mean final acceptance of candidature by SAI.
• Offer letters will be issued strictly based on merit and available vacancies.

Documents required

• Proof of age via Matriculation / 10th Class certificate or Birth Certificate.
• Proof of essential qualification through Bachelor’s Degree certificate and marksheets.
• SSC CGL 2025 scorecard or rank proof aligned with Annexure-I shortlist.
• Valid Government-issued photo identification proof.
• Caste or category certificate for reservation claims (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS).
• Disability certificate for PwBD category horizontal reservation.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) for government employees, along with a scanned photo and signature.

• Log in using the same email ID that was given in the SSC CGL 2025 application and shown against your name in Annexure-I.
• Fill in the application form with correct details.
• Submit the form before the closing time on 15th October 2026.
