Salary

Apprentices selected under SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 15,000 during the one-year training period. There are no additional allowances or benefits provided during the apprenticeship. Successful completion of apprenticeship training grants weightage and relaxation in recruitment for Junior Associate positions as per the bank’s policies.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Age Limit

Minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 28 years as on 1st April 2026. Relaxations in upper age limit apply as per the Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold a graduation degree from a recognized University or Institute as on 1st April 2026.

Additional Eligibility

Candidates must not have undergone or be currently pursuing apprenticeship training under the Apprentice Act, 1961.
Candidates with more than one year of job experience after their educational qualification are not eligible.
Ex-servicemen and disabled ex-servicemen are not eligible.
Candidates should be proficient in the specified local language of the applied state.

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)

The SBI Apprentice recruitment provides horizontal reservation for PwBD categories as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, covering various disabilities such as locomotor, visual, hearing impairments, autism spectrum disorders, and multiple disabilities. Candidates availing scribe and compensatory time facilities must follow the prescribed guidelines and produce valid disability certificates.

Selection Process

Online written test consisting of objective type questions in General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.
Test of local language proficiency after qualifying the online written examination.
