The State Level Police Recruitment Board of Assam is now recruiting eligible candidates for the vacant posts of Constable (Grade III) and Dresser under the Civil Defence and Home Guards Recruitment. The SLPRB 2024 recruitment drive is conducted against 271 vacancies. Interested candidates can register themselves online using the guidelines mentioned below.

SLPRB 2024 Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 – 60,500/- with Grade Pay Rs.5600/- (PB-2) and other Allowances, as admissible under the rules.

For Dresser posts:

SLPRB 2024 Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 – 60,500/- (Pay Band- II) and Grade pay Rs. 5000/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.

Eligibility for SLPRB 2024

Nationality:

• Candidates must be Indian Citizens and permanent residents of Assam. Selected Candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the final select list. However, Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/ MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.
• Candidates must register their name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.

Educational Qualification:

For Constable posts:

• H.S.L.C or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
• Other Qualification (for candidates except Ex-Servicemen): Home Guard Certificate or Minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate.

For Dresser posts:

• HSLC or the equivalent of a University or Board recognized by the Govt.
• Other Qualification:
  • 02 (two) years experience certificate in Dresser (Medical) work from a Govt. recognized Institute
  • Trade skills include knowledge of contamination, sterilization and disinfection of instruments, preparation of chlorine solution, antiseptic & aseptic condition, procedure of decontamination, Cleaning & Bandaging wounds and other affected body parts.

Age:

• 18 to 40 years as of 01st of January, 2024 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01st of January, 2006 and on or after 01st of January, 1984).

Selection Procedure

For Constable posts:

For SLPRB 2024 candidates will have to appear for five examination stages, namely:

• Physical Standards Tests (PST)
• Physical Efficiency Tests (PET)
• Written Test
• National Cadet Corps (NCC)
• Oral/ Viva-Voce

For Dresser posts:

Candidates whose applications are found eligible in all respects will be called for a written test. The date (s) and venue (s) for the test will be intimated in due course of time. Further, the written test qualifying candidates will have to appear for a Trade Proficiency Test (TPT).

• Certificate for proof of age (Admit card or Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination)

• Marksheet of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination
• Employment Exchange Registration Card
• Certificate of Caste from a Competent Authority in Assam.

Constable posts:

• Home Guard Training Certificate or NCC ‘A’ Certificate
• In the case of an Ex-serviceman, he/ she must upload:
  • Copy of Discharged Book
  • Copy of Identity Card of Ex-Serviceman

Dresser posts:

• 02 (two) years experience certificate in Dresser (Medical) work from a Government recognized Institute.
