(Middle) under the Sonapur College Recruitment 2025. Vacancies

Various vacancies are available under the Sonapur College Recruitment 2025. They are given below in details :

1. Head of the Department (HOD)
2. Assistant Professors in (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, etc. )
3. Assistant Professor in Educational Studies
4. Assistant Professor in Health and Physical Education, Art Education, Career Guidance and Counselling (Part-time)

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification for the Head of the Department (HOD):

• The candidates eligible for the given post under Sonapur College Recruitment 2025, must have a Postgraduate Degree in Education from the recognized university of Assam.
• The candidate should have an M.Ed from the recognized University of Assam.
• Candidates must have ten years of teaching experience in a teaching education institution or eight years as an Associate Professor.
• Candidates who have a Diploma/ Degree in Educational Administration or Leadership are desirable.

Educational Qualification for the Assistant Professors in (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, etc. ):

• The candidate should have a Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences or Languages with a minimum of 55% marks.
• The candidate must have a B.Ed degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• National Eligibility Test or State Level Eligibility Test or Doctor of Philosophy in Education or in the concerned subject as prescribed by the UGC for these categories of posts.
• The candidate should have an M.Ed. or M.Ed. with specialization in Elementary Education preferably for the posts.
• Candidates who have a Ph.D in Education are preferable for the posts.

Educational Qualification for the Assistant Professor in Educational Studies:

• The candidate should have a Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed.) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• With the National Eligibility Test (NET) State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) Doctor of Philosophy in Education or any other qualification prescribed by UGC for these categories of posts.
• Candidates who have a Master’s degree in Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology or other allied subjects are preferable for the posts.

Educational Qualification for the Assistant Professor in Health and Physical Education, Art Education, Career Guidance and Counselling 

The candidates who are eligible for the Sonapur College Recruitment 2025 should have a Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) with a minimum 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

Educational Qualification for Art Education

The candidate should have a Postgraduate degree in Performing or Visual Arts with a minimum of 55%
marks or its equivalent grade.

Educational Qualification for the Assistant Professor in Career Guidance and Counselling 

• The candidate must be an Assistant Professor in Education.
• Candidates should have Guidance and Counselling as one of the papers in M.Ed. OR
• Candidates who are eligible for the Sonapur College Recruitment 2025 can be Part-time counselors with appropriate qualifications in Guidance and Counselling.
