SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification inviting applications to fill vacancies against 2006 posts in the recruitment of Stenographers. The application portal for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 is open from the 26th of July, 2024 and will be live till the 17th of August 2024. SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Available Vacancies
The vacancies for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 are open for both Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ jobs. There are approximately 2006 vacancies. However, the firm number of vacancies will be determined in due course. Updated vacancies, if any, along with post-wise & category-wise vacancies will be made available on the website of the Commission.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates from the SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 drive will draw a starting basic pay and allowances as follows:

Eligibility criteria
(i) Age
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age (Grade C): 30 years
- Candidates born not before 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply.
- Maximum age (Grade D): 27 years
- Candidates born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply.
- Relaxations in upper age limit:
- Schedule Caste/ Scheduled Tribe (SC/ ST): 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): No Relaxation
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 10 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + OBC: 13 years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + SC/ST: 15 years
(ii) Educational Qualification
- Completion of class 12th examination: The candidate looking to apply for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2023 should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- Stenography Proficiency Assessment: Those candidates who qualify in the Computer Based Examination will need to participate in a Stenography Skill Test. During this test, candidates will receive a 10-minute dictation in either English or Hindi (based on their choices in the online Application Form) at a speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for Stenographer Grade ‘D’. The dictated matter must be transcribed on a computer.

How to Apply?
- First of all, the applicant will have to register himself/ herself on the SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2043 online Engagement Portal with their details (Scroll Down For the Link)
- Once the registration number is generated, candidates will need to log into the portal
- However, candidates registered for previous recruitment drives in the year 2024 can apply with the same Registration number without redoing the registration again
- Now, they will need to enter a few personal details, address information, and then put up the marks obtained in Class 12th
- Add all the necessary skill certificates along with all the required documents
- Lastly, upload a photo & signature, pay the application fee and submit the form for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024
- Also, candidates are advised to download and take a printout of the application form for future references
Application Fees
A fee of Rs. 100/- is to be paid by the applicants for all posts notified in the advertisement. However, payment of fees is exempted for all female applicants, SC/ ST applicants, PwD applicants, and applicants who have served for the country i.e. Ex-Servicemen (ESM).
