SSUHS ANM Admission 2026: Notification out for 369 seats; check complete details here

The Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS), Assam, will conduct the ANM Entrance Examination, 2026 for filling up 369 seats across 11 ANM Training Schools in the state. Interested and eligible female candidates can submit their online application forms for SSUHS ANM Admission 2026 from 15th September 2026 to 27th September 2026 on the university website, www.ssuhs.ac.in.

Seats Offered under ANM Admission 2026

The 369 seats under ANM Admission 2026 are distributed among the following 11 Government ANM Training Schools of Assam:

• ANM Training School, GMCH, Guwahati
• Morigaon
• Goalpara
• Hailakandi
• Dima Hasao
• Jorhat
• Sivasagar
• Nagaon
• Nalbari
• Dhubri
• Kokrajhar

Eligibility Criteria for ANM Admission 2026

Nationality and Residency

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.
• The candidate should be a permanent resident of Assam and must furnish a certificate to this effect.

Age Limit

• Minimum age for admission: 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
• Maximum age for admission: 35 years.
• For Anganwadi Workers, Asha Workers and Trained Dias applying for admission to ANM/ Multipurpose Health Worker Training Schools, the upper age limit is relaxed from 35 to 42 years.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed 12 years of schooling (Higher Secondary/ 10+2 course) recognised by CBSE/ ICSE/ SSSCE/ HSCE, or a recognised equivalent examination.

Other Conditions

• Admission under ANM Admission 2026 is restricted only to female candidates.
• Admission is subject to a satisfactory medical examination report.
• Reservation of seats shall be as per Government norms; the distribution and reservation of seats, including admission, will be notified by the Directorate of Health Services (FW), Assam in due course.

Selection Process

Selection under ANM Admission 2026 will be made through a merit list prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained by each candidate in the Entrance Examination. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, the inter-se merit will be decided in the following order of preference:

• Candidates securing more marks in English in the Entrance Examination.
• Candidates securing more marks in General Science in the Entrance Examination.
• Candidates securing more marks in Mathematics in the Entrance Examination.
• If marks still tally, marks in English of the qualifying examination will be considered at the time of counselling.

All applicants will be provisionally allowed to appear in the examination. Eligibility for admission will be scrutinised by the competent authority at the time of counselling, after the entrance examination result is declared.

Exam Pattern for ANM Entrance Examination 2026

• The ANM Entrance Examination, 2026 will consist of one paper covering English, Mathematics and General Science, with questions set at the 10th standard level.
• There is no negative marking for wrong answers, and unanswered questions will be awarded zero marks.
• Questions will be set in both English and Assamese; however, candidates will be required to fill in the OMR Sheet in English only.
• The examination will be held on 11th October 2026 (Sunday) from 10.00 AM to 11.30 AM, at Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Tezpur and Dhubri.

• Register and carefully go through the instructions given along with the online application form before filling it up.
• Fill in personal, academic and category details in the online application form.
• Upload the required documents, photograph and signature as per the instructions.
• Pay the requisite entrance examination fee through the online payment gateway.
• Submit the form and keep a record of the Application Form Number and Password generated, as these will be required to download the Admit Card later.
