Salary
The selected Law Clerks-cum-Research Associates under Supreme Court of India 2026 will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹1,00,000 during the contract period.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates applied under the Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2026 must be between 20 and 32 years of age as on 7th February 2026.
Educational Qualifications
- Must be a Law Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or an Integrated Degree Course in Law from an Indian institution recognised by the Bar Council of India.
- Candidates currently studying in the fifth year of a five-year integrated law course or third year of a three-year law course after graduation in any stream are eligible to apply, provided they produce proof of acquiring the law qualification before taking up the assignment.
- Candidates must possess research, analytical, writing skills, and computer knowledge, including legal research tools such as e-SCR, Manupatra, SCC Online, LexisNexis, and Westlaw.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2026 is conducted in three phases:
- Part I – Multiple Choice Based Questions (testing understanding and application of law, and comprehension skills)
- Part II – Subjective Written Test (covering writing and analytical abilities)
- Part III – Interview
Exam Pattern/ Admission Test Details
- The written tests for the Supreme Court of India 2026 (Part I and II) will be conducted on the same day, 7th March 2026, in two sessions across 23 cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, and others.
- Part I will be an online multiple-choice test, while Part II will be subjective, with answers written on paper based on question papers displayed on computer screens.
- Model answer keys for Part I will be available from 8th March 2026 to 9th March 2026 for online objections, subject to a fee of ₹100 per objection.
- Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for each incorrect answer in Part I.

- Fill in the online application form carefully and upload the required scanned photograph and signature.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee online via the UCO Bank payment gateway.
- Submit the application before 7th February 2026. Applications cannot be modified or withdrawn after submission.
- Keep the Application Number safe for further correspondence and for downloading the admit card.
Application Fee
The non-refundable application/ test fee is ₹750 plus applicable bank charges. The fee must be paid online only via the payment gateway, and no other form of payment is accepted.
