UIIC Recruitment 2026: Apply Online For 225 Administrative Officer Posts

UIIC Recruitment 2026 notification is out for 225 Administrative Officer posts. Check eligibility, exam dates, fee and steps to apply online.

United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC), a leading public sector general insurance company wholly owned by the Government of India, has released its official notification (Ref: HO:HRM:REC:AO:1:2026) for UIIC Recruitment 2026. The drive invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Administrative Officer (Scale I) across the Generalist and Hindi Officer disciplines, on a regular basis.

A total of 225 provisional vacancies have been announced under UIIC Recruitment 2026, comprising 200 posts for Generalists and 25 posts for Hindi Officers. Candidates can apply online from 8th September 2026, and a candidate may apply for only one of the two disciplines, not both.

Note:

  • A horizontal reservation of 4 percent is also provided for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), covering Visually Impaired (VI), Hearing Impaired (HI), Orthopedically Challenged (OC) and Multiple Disabilities/ Intellectual Disability (MD/ ID) categories, mainly under the Generalist discipline.
  • All the category-wise figures mentioned above are provisional and may be interchanged at any stage of the recruitment process.

Emoluments and Benefits

  • Selected candidates under UIIC Recruitment 2026 will draw a basic pay in the scale of Rs. 82,485-4,050(14)-1,39,185-4,390(4)-1,56,745, along with other admissible allowances. The approximate gross pay works out to Rs. 1,10,000 per month at Metropolitan centres.
  • Other benefits include Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, National Pension System (NPS) and leased accommodation as per Company rules.
  • Selected candidates are appointed on probation for one year and must give an undertaking to serve the Company for a minimum of five years, including the probation period, failing which liquidated damages and an onboarding cost of Rs. 35,000 become payable.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality/ Citizenship

A candidate applying under UIIC Recruitment 2026 must be one of the following:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Educational Qualification (as on 30th June 2026)

  • Generalists: A Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in any discipline, including but not limited to Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, Agriculture and Data Science, from a recognised university, with a minimum of 60 percent marks (55 percent for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates) in either degree examination.
  • Hindi Officers: A Master’s Degree from a recognised university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject, or in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject, or in any other subject with a suitable combination of Hindi and English as the medium of examination and/ or a compulsory/ elective subject, with a minimum of 60 percent marks (55 percent for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates).

Note:

  • Where only CGPA/ OGPA/ SGPA has been awarded, candidates will need a certificate from the university converting the grade into a percentage, and any fraction below 60 percent (such as 59.99 percent) will be treated as less than 60 percent. Working knowledge of computers is compulsory for all candidates.

Age Limit (as on 30th June 2026)

  • Candidates applying under UIIC Recruitment 2026 must be between 21 and 30 years of age, that is, born not earlier than 30th June 1996 and not later than 30th June 2005.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and certain other specified categories are entitled to age relaxation as applicable; the complete category-wise relaxation table is available in the official notification (linked in the Important Links section below).

Selection Procedure

The selection process for UIIC Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages:

  • Tier I: Preliminary Examination (Online Objective Test), common for both Generalists and Hindi Officers.
  • Tier II: Main Examination (Online Objective Test and Descriptive Test).
  • Interview.
  • For the Generalist discipline, only the Main Examination Objective Test and the Interview are considered for the final merit list, in a 75:25 ratio. For the Hindi Officer discipline, the Main Examination (Objective plus Descriptive Test combined) and the Interview are considered in a 75:25 ratio. In both cases, marks from the Preliminary Examination are not counted towards final selection.
  • UIIC last conducted this recruitment as UIIC AO Recruitment 2024 for 250 vacancies, and the overall pattern of examination stages remains largely similar this year.

Note:

  • Hindi Officer candidates under UIIC Recruitment 2026 also attempt a Descriptive Test of 50 marks (60 minutes), consisting of an English Essay (10 marks), a Hindi Essay (10 marks), Letter Writing in Hindi (10 marks), English-to-Hindi Translation (10 marks) and Hindi-to-English Translation (10 marks).
  • A penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned is deducted for each wrong answer in both the Preliminary and Main Objective Tests; there is no penalty for unattempted questions.

  • A handwritten declaration in English on white paper with black ink, reading: “I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

  • Choose “Click here for New Registration” and enter your name, contact details and email ID to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
  • Use the “Save and Next” option to fill in personal, educational and category details carefully.
  • Upload your photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per the specified format.
  • Preview the completed application form and click “Complete Registration” only after verifying all details.
  • Proceed to the Payment tab and pay the applicable application fee.
  • Submit the application and take a printout of the form of UIIC Recruitment 2026 and payment receipt for future reference.
