SSC Recruitment 2023: A recruitment scheme has been formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for the Staff Selection Commission to conduct an open competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Constable (General Duty). The SSC Recruitment 2023 drive is held for 26146 vacant posts in the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR).
The SSC Recruitment 2023 drive will be conducted in Computer Based Examination (CBE) mode by the Commission in English, Hindi and 13 Regional Languages. Namely, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

Salary
The candidates selected for the SSC Recruitment 2023 will receive a pay scale of Level-3 that is, Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies in CAPFs and AR are State/ UT/ area wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his or her state/ UT.
Age Limit: 18-23 years as of 1st of January, 2024. Candidates should not have been born earlier than the 2nd of January, 2001 and later than the 1st of January, 2006 in normal course to appear for the SSC Recruitment 2023.

Selection Procedure
The SSC Recruitment 2023 process will consist of the following stages:
- Computer Based Examination (CBE)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Medical Examination

SSC Recruitment 2023 examination
Computer-Based Examination: The Computer based examination will consist of one objective type paper of duration 60 minutes, containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each, with the following composition:

- Enter all the required details and proceed accordingly
- Upload the necessary documents
- Make the payment online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards as per the candidate’s convenience
- After completion of these steps, download and print out copies of the application form and payment receipt
