SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 2024: The State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting eligible candidates for 169 vacancies of Specialist Officers. Vacancies of SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 2024

Salary

The candidates selected for the vacancies advertised under SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 2024 will receive a Basic pay of 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920. Also, the employee will be eligible for DA, HRA, CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund i.e., NPS, LFC, Medical Facility, leave etc. as per rules in force from time to time and Salary and perks as per the Bank’s salary structure.

Eligibility

(i) Assistant Manager (Civil Engineer)

• Age Limit: As of 1 October 2024, the candidate’s age should be at least 21 and not more than 30.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized University/ Institution with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of Experience in construction/ maintenance of multistorey commercial / Institutional / residential buildings involving RCC framed construction or projects involving pile foundation, controlled concrete work, mix design, testing of materials or projects, planning and control (preferably computer based) including experience in design, testing and preparation of cost estimates for construction work and checking of contractors bills etc.

(ii) Assistant Manager (Electrical Engineer)

• Age Limit: As of 1 October 2024, the candidate’s age should be at least 21 and not more than 40.
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a recognized University/ Institution with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of Experience in construction/ maintenance of multistorey commercial / Institutional / residential buildings involving RCC framed construction or projects involving pile foundation, controlled concrete work, mix design, testing of materials or projects, planning and control (preferably computer based) including experience in design, testing and preparation of cost estimates for construction work and checking of contractors bills etc.

(iii) Assistant Manager (Fire Engineer)

Age Limit: As of 1 October 2024, the candidate’s age should be at least 21 and not more than 30 to apply for SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 2024.

Educational Qualification:

• B.E. (Fire) from National Fire Service College (NFSC) Nagpur
• Or B.E/ B. Tech (Safety & Fire Engineering)
• Or B.E/ B. Tech (Fire Technology & Safety Engineering)
• Or an Equivalent 4-year degree in Fire Safety from UGC recognized University/ AICTE-approved institution
• Or a Graduate of the Institution of Fire Engineers (India / UK) or Divisional Officers course from NFSC, Nagpur and have a minimum 3 years experience as a Station Officer or equivalent post in a City Fire Brigade/ State Fire Brigade/ In-Charge Fire Officer in Corporates/ Big Industrial Complex or as a Fire Officer in State Govt Institutions/ PSUs.

Work Experience & Skills:

• If the Educational qualification is B.E. (Fire) from National Fire Service College (NFSC) Nagpur or B.E / B. Tech (Safety & Fire Engineering) or B.E / B. Tech (Fire Technology & Safety Engineering) or Equivalent 4-year degree in Fire Safety from UGC recognized University / AICTE approved institution: Composite experience of minimum 2 years in the field of Fire Safety from any reputed organization.
• If Educational qualification is Graduate of Institution of Fire Engineers (India / UK) or Divisional Officers course from NFSC, Nagpur: Minimum 3 years experience as a Station Officer or equivalent post in a City Fire Brigade / State Fire Brigade / In-Charge Fire Officer in Corporates / Big Industrial Complex or as a Fire Officer in State Govt Institutions / PSUs.
• Specific Skills: The candidate should have good knowledge of Fire prevention and protection systems such as Hydrant systems, Fire detection systems, and Sprinkler systems along with knowledge of Evacuation problems and Fire Audits.

Selection Procedure

(A) For Assistant Manager (Electrical & Civil)

The selection process for Assistant Manager (Electrical & Civil) vacancies under SBI Specialist Officer Recruitment 2024 will have 2 stages, i.e. Online Written Test and Interaction. SBI will conduct the written test tentatively in January 2025. The written test will have 2 sections as shown below:

• The General Aptitude section will be of qualifying in nature and marks thereon will not be reckoned for arriving at the Merit list. 90 minutes will be allotted in this section.
• The Professional Knowledge section will consist of questions related to the post for which the candidate has applied and they will get 45 minutes to complete it.
• Interview: An adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interviews based on performance in the online written test. The interview will carry 25 marks. The qualifying marks in the Interview will be decided by the Bank.
• The final Merit list will be arrived at after aggregating the scores of the Professional Knowledge section from the Written Test (out of 100 marks) and interview (out of 25 marks). The weightage of the score will be 70% of the written test and 30% of the Interview.

(B) For Assistant Manager (Fire Engineer)

To get selected as Assistant Manager (Fire Engineer), candidates need to go through 2 phases of the selection process, which are Shortlisting and Interview.

• Meeting the minimum qualifications and experience does not guarantee an interview, as the Bank’s shortlisting committee will set criteria, select an adequate number of candidates, and make the final decision on who is called for the interview.
• The interview will carry 100 marks.
• The merit list will be based on scores of the Interview round, with ties at the cut-off resolved by ranking candidates by descending age.
