Madhabdev University PhD admission 2024-25: Apply now

Madhabdev University, a State University, Assam, has recenlty released a notification inviting online application for PhD admission for the academic session 2024-25. The candidates for admission will be selected based on their performance in the Madhabdev University Research Admission Test (MDURAT) 2024, which is scheduled to be held on 9th February, 2025.

Department wise Seats

Eligibility

• Candidates who have completed 1-year/ 2-semester Master’s degree program after a 4-year/ 8-semester Bachelor’s degree program or a 2-year/ 4-semester Master’s degree programme after a 3-year bachelor’s degree program or qualifications declared equivalent to the Master’s degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
• Equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution recognized and established under a law in its home country.
• Candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/ 8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale.
• Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. programme with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale from a foreign educational institution recognized and established under a law in its home country.
• A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-Abled, EWS and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.

Selection Procedure

Admission to the Ph.D. program in Madhabdev University is based on the performance in the entrance test and interview. Each of the shortlisted candidates of the written test will have to give a presentation of the research proposal (format to be notified later) before a panel of experts based on where the final selection will be done.

Entrance Test

The entrance test for Madhabdev University PhD admission 2024-25 will comprise of two parts-
Part A: 50 marks for MCQ based on Research Methodology
Part B: 50 marks for descriptive type questions in the subject specific

The UGC NET Syllabus will be followed as Syllabus of MDURAT 2024.

Note: The JRF-qualified candidates and the Category 2 and Category 3 of UGC NET qualified candidates in June 2024 may be admitted into the Madhabdev University PhD admission 2024-25 based on an interview as per the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022.

How to apply?

For admission to the Ph.D. program in Madhabdev University, candidates shall apply online in prescribed form through SAMARTH Portal (linked below) by following the steps as below-

• Click on the button NEW REGISTRTION that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
• Fill in the User Name and password in the appropriate columns correctly.
• Remember, while choosing your User Name it must be in between 8 to 16 characters.
• While choosing your password it must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long.
• After filling the mandatory information click the “SUBMIT” button.
• Your username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS.
• Remember your Username and Password for subsequent login.
• If you have already registered i.e you are an existing user click the “LOGIN” button.
• Before proceeding for filling the online application form, you must have the following:
  • Scanned passport size Photograph (less than 100 KB)
  • Scanned Signature (less than 100 KB)
  • All the supporting documents (like Proof of Date of Birth, relevant mark-sheets, degree certificates, caste certificate, income certificate, disability certificate, UGC NET-JRF certificate/ UGC-NET Score card etc) (less than 500KB)
• Lastly, submit the application form for Madhabdev University PhD admission 2024-25 and download it along with the payment receipt for future reference
