Emoluments

Age Limit

1. Post Graduate Teacher (Arts & Science)

• PGT (Arts):
  • Postgraduate degree in Arts with minimum 55% marks in both Graduation and Post-Graduation (same subject)
  • B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution
• PGT (Science):
  • Postgraduate degree in Science with minimum 55% marks in both Graduation and Post-Graduation (same subject)
  • B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution

Additional Conditions

• Degrees from off-campus study centres outside Assam, not recognised by UGC-DEC are invalid
• Degrees from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL (Gauhati University) and Distance Education, Dibrugarh University are valid
• Must be able to teach in English
• Must be capable of teaching two additional subjects

Shortlisting Criteria (Teaching Proficiency Test – 400 Marks)

• PG marks – 100
• UG marks – 100
• HS final marks – 100
• B.Ed. marks – 100

2. Graduate Teacher (Arts/ Arts-English/ Science/ Mathematics)

Minimum Qualification

• Arts: BA with Major (Honours) – 55% marks
• Arts-English: BA with Major in English – 55% marks
• Science: B.Sc. with Major – 55% marks
• Mathematics: B.Sc. with Major in Mathematics – 55% marks
• B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognised institution

Additional Conditions

• Same validity rules for distance/ off-campus degrees as above
• Must be able to teach in English
• Must be able to teach one additional subject and one regional language
  • Bodo (BTR), Bengali (Barak Valley), Assamese (Brahmaputra Valley)

Shortlisting Criteria (300 Marks)

• BA/ BSc marks – 100
• HS final marks – 100
• B.Ed. marks – 100

3. Graduate Teacher (Hindi)

Minimum Qualification

• One of the following:
  • Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi (55%) + Degree (55%)
  • BA with Hindi as a subject (55%)
  • PG in Arts (55%) with Hindi at UG level
• B.Ed. from a recognized university
  (Parangat treated as B.Ed. for Hindi only)
• Degree Validity: Same UGC-DEC rules as above apply

Shortlisting Criteria (300 Marks)

• Hindi / Highest Hindi qualification – 100
• HS final marks – 100
• B.Ed. marks – 100

4. Assistant Teacher (Arts & Science)

Minimum Qualification

• Arts: Graduate in Arts (55%) + D.El.Ed. (NCTE-recognised)
• Science: Graduate in Science (55%) + D.El.Ed. (NCTE-recognised)

Additional Conditions

• Same distance/ off-campus degree rules apply
• Must teach in English
• Must teach one additional subject and one regional language

• BA/BSc marks – 100
• HS final marks – 100

5. Laboratory Assistant

Minimum Qualification

• Higher Secondary (Science) with minimum 55% marks

Shortlisting Criteria (200 Marks)

• HS final marks – 100
• HSLC final marks – 100

Selection Procedure

The selection procedure under Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan Recruitment 2025 is given below:

• Online applications will be shortlisted on the basis of merit in the prescribed qualifications.
• The authenticity of documents will be verified during the document verification stage.
• Applications found to be false, incomplete, improperly filled, or submitted without application fee will be rejected outright.
