APGCL Recruitment 2026: Apply For 66 Junior Manager And Assistant Manager Posts

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released two separate notifications inviting applications for APGCL Recruitment 2026, covering posts of Junior Manager and Assistant Manager in Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL). Together, the two notifications, issued under Advertisement No. 10/2026 and Advertisement No. 09/2026, cover 66 vacancies across Electrical, Mechanical, Information Technology, Instrumentation, Civil and Human Resource disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Junior Manager and Assistant Manager: 21 to 38 years as on 1st January 2026.
• Assistant Manager (Human Resource): Upper age limit relaxable up to 45 years.

Candidates from SC/ ST, OBC/ MOBC, PwBD and Ex-servicemen categories are entitled to age relaxation as applicable; the category-wise relaxation is available in the official notification of APGCL Recruitment 2026 given below.

Educational Qualification

Junior Manager (Diploma-level, minimum 60 percent marks in the qualifying examination; 50 percent for SC/ ST candidates):

• Electrical: Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Information Technology: Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering/ Information Technology/ Computer Technology
• Instrumentation: Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
• Civil: Diploma in Civil Engineering

Assistant Manager (Degree-level, minimum 60 percent marks in the qualifying examination; 50 percent for SC/ ST candidates in engineering disciplines):

• Electrical: B.E./ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical: B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Instrumentation: B.E./ B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering
• Information Technology: B.E./ B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering/ Information Technology
• Civil: B.E./ B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• Human Resource: 2 years full time MBA/ PGDM with specialisation in Human Resource Management/ Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations (minimum 60 percent marks; 55 percent for SC/ ST candidates)

Nationality and Residency

• Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam.
• A valid PRC or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate must be uploaded as domicile proof.

PwBD Category

Candidates seeking consideration under PwBD category in APGCL Recruitment 2026 must possess a benchmark disability of 40 percent or more, supported by a certificate from the competent authority.

Documents Required

• Permanent Resident Certificate/ Employment Exchange Registration Certificate
• Mark sheets and pass certificate of the qualifying examination
• Class X/ Class XII admit card, pass certificate or marksheet (age proof)
• Caste certificate for SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC candidates
• BPL certificate, wherever applicable
• PwBD certificate, wherever applicable
• Employment certificate/ No Objection Certificate for candidates already in Government service
• Declaration Form-A regarding Small Family Norms
• Recent photograph and signature in the prescribed size

Steps to Apply

• Visit the application portal of APGCL Recruitment 2026 by clicking on the link given below in the “Important Links” section.
• Complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the APSC recruitment portal if not already registered, using a valid email address and mobile number.
• Log in with the registered email/ mobile number and password.
• Fill in the required registration and application details
• Upload the required documents, along with a recent photograph and signature.
• Use the Preview option to verify all the details before final submission.
• Then pay the application fee.
• Submit the application of APGCL Recruitment 2026 and take a printout of the confirmation for future reference.
