The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the APSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2025 vide advertisement no- ADVT. NO. 31/2025 for the posts of Assistant Engineers in Civil, Mechanical, and Chemical disciplines under the Public Health Engineering Department, Assam. The recruitment drive invites applications from permanent residents of Assam. A total of 50 vacancies are available, including reservations for various categories and persons with benchmark disabilities. The online application process will start from 15th September 2025 and continue until 14th October 2025.

Pay Scale

The selected candidates under APSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2025 will receive their salary based on pay scale of Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- with a grade pay of Rs. 12,700/- along with other allowances as admissible to Assam State Government employees.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

The candidate must be between 21 years and 38 years of age as on 1st January 2025. Age relaxations are applicable as follows:

Up to 43 years for SC/ ST candidates.
Up to 41 years for OBC/ MOBC/ Tea Tribes & Adivasi candidates.
Up to 50 years for Ex-Servicemen in the Unreserved category, with further relaxations for OBC/ MOBC and SC/ ST categories.
Persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) get a 10-year relaxation irrespective of category.

Educational Qualification

B.E/ B.Tech degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from AICTE-recognised institutes.
Alternatively, Part A & B of AMIE (India) in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, enrolled on or before 31st May 2013.

Residency

The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam and must upload a valid Permanent Resident Certificate or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof.

Disability certificate for PwBD candidates
Ex-Servicemen Identity Card and Discharge Book, if applying under the Ex-Servicemen category
Certificate of employment/ NOC for Government employees of Assam
