Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
- The minimum qualification for all the posts is as per UGC norms.
- Any additional UGC Regulations issued in continuation of the July 2018 Regulations will also be applicable.
Other Conditions
- Candidates belonging to SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H)/ OBC/ MOBC/ PWD categories must submit relevant certificates issued by a competent authority as per the norms of the Government of Assam.
- Candidates who are in employment must apply through proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned authority along with the application. This is mandatory, and otherwise they will not be called for the interview, even if eligible.
- Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications with separate application fees.
- Candidates who applied earlier for Assistant Professor in Botany under Advertisement No. BU/E&A Sec./Advt./T/01/2022/1756 dated 27/06/2022 and BU/E&A Sec./Advt./T/02/2023/2553 dated 15/03/2023 need not apply again through the Samarth Portal. They may submit their updated documents or degrees, if any.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be called for an interview. Merely fulfilling the minimum qualification does not entitle an applicant to be invited for the interview.
- If a large number of applications are received for a post, the University may shortlist candidates for the interview.
- The Reservation policy of the Government of Assam, as adopted by the University, will be applicable.
- The University reserves the right to revise, reschedule, cancel, suspend or withdraw the recruitment process without assigning any reason, and its decision is final.
- It also reserves the right to change the number and nature of posts in case of any discrepancy.

- Take a printout of the application. Send 2 sets of photocopies of the application and 2 sets of self-attested supporting documents, along with proof of payment, to the Registrar, Bhattadev University, Bajali, Pathsala-781325, Assam. They must reach on or before 16th December 2026.
- Write “Application for the Post of ……” on the envelope.
Applications received after the last date will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be entertained regarding postal delay, the conduct or result of the interview, or the reasons for not being called for an interview.
