The Indian Institute of Management has finally declared the results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022. The Common Admission Test is conducted annually to admit students into various Post Graduate and Fellow/ Doctorate programmes of IIMs. Along with IIMs, the CAT 2022 Results will also be used by 90 non-IIM institutes for their admission procedures.
The registration portal for CAT 2022 was open from the 3rd of August, and candidates were given time upto the 21st of September, 2022 to fill up their forms. Later on November 27th, IIM organized the entrance test, and now after a month, the results are out.

How to check CAT 2022 Results?
- First of all, candidates will need to visit the official website
- Then, click on the login button and enter their user ID and password
- Once logged in, click on the given option to view the Results
- Lastly, download the CAT 2022 Results and keep it for future reference
Analysis of CAT 2022 Results
This year, around 2.22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam out of 2.55 lakhs registered eligible candidates. So, the overall attendance was approximately 87%. Out of the 2.22 lakh candidates who have appeared in the exam, 35% were Females, 65% were Males and 4 candidates represent Transgender.
Speaking about the results, 11 aspirants are able to score 100 percentiles in CAT 2022. Whereas 22 aspirants have secured 99.99 percentiles and 22 aspirants have secured 99.98 percentiles. Out of these 55 candidates, 41 come from an engineering background and only 4 out of 55 candidates are females. Hence, reacting to the announcement of CAT 2022 results, many people were seen pointing out that this is the fifth year in a row when there are no female candidates who have secured the 100 percentile.
As the scorecards for CAT 2022 are out now, IIMs will soon start admitting students on the basis of these scores into various programmes. Though a candidate’s performance in the entrance test will be an important component for consideration in the selection process, respective IIMs can also have their own set of rules & eligibility criteria for admissions. And IIMs may also use the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience, and other similar inputs in short-listing candidates at various stages of the admission process.
