Pay Scale
Selected candidates under Coal India Limited Recruitment 2025 as Management Trainees in E-2 Grade in the pay scale of ₹ 50,000 – 1,60,000/- at the initial Basic of ₹. 50,000/- per month during the training period. On successful and satisfactory completion of the 1-year training period and passing the test conducted, regularization will be in E-3 Grade in the scale of pay of ₹ 60,000 – 1,80,000/- at the initial Basic of ₹ 60,000/- with probation for 1 year, if not extended.
In addition to Basic Pay, candidates will receive Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, perquisites, and allowances under the cafeteria approach, as well as Performance Related Pay (PRP) and other applicable benefits.

Age Limit
- The Upper Age Limit for Coal India Limited Recruitment 2025 is 30 Years as of 30th-Sept-2024 for General (UR) & EWS category candidates.
- Category-wise relaxation in the Upper Age Limit is mentioned below-
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years
- SC/ ST – 5 Years

Education Qualification
(a) Community Development
- Minimum 2 years Postgraduate Degree or Postgraduate Diploma from a recognized University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% marks in one of the following disciplines:
- Community Development
- Rural Development
- Community Organization & Development Practice
- Urban & Rural Community Development
- Rural & Tribal Development
- Development Management
- Rural Management
- OR a minimum of 2 years postgraduate degree from a recognized institute in social work with specializations in any of the above-mentioned fields, with a minimum of 60% marks.
(b) Environment
- First-Class Degree in Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks.
- OR any Engineering Degree with a Postgraduate Degree/ Diploma in Environmental Engineering from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks.
(c) Finance: Qualified CA/ICWA
(d) Legal: Graduate in Law (3 years or 5 years duration) from a recognized University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% marks.
(e) Marketing & Sales: Degree with a 2-year MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Management with a specialization in Marketing (Major) from a recognized Indian University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% marks.
(f) Materials Management: Engineering Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a 2-year MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Management, with a minimum of 60% marks.
(g) Personnel & HR: Graduate with at least a 2-year full-time Postgraduate Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Postgraduate Program in Management from a recognized institute with a minimum of 60% marks with specialization in Human Resources (HR), Industrial Relations, Personnel Management, Master of Human Resource and Organizational Development (MHROD), MBA in HR (Major), Master of Social Work with HR specialization.
(h) Security: Graduate in any discipline.
(i) Coal Preparation: B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engg.) with a minimum of 60% marks in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Engineering, or Mineral & Metallurgical Engineering.
Selection Process
The applicants for Coal India Limited Recruitment 2025 will be selected based on the scores obtained the the computer-based test. The details of the selection test is as follows:
- Duration: The test will be conducted in a single sitting for 3 hours.
- Structure: The test consists of two papers:
- Paper-I: General Knowledge/ Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and General English
- Paper-II: Professional Knowledge (Discipline-specific)
- Each paper will have 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and there will be 100 marks for each paper.
- Every correct answer will be awarded with 1 mark.
- No negative markings for incorrect answers.
- No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
- The question paper will be bilingual, and available in English and Hindi. In case of any discrepancies in the Hindi version, the English version will be considered final.

Application Fees
