CRPF Recruitment 2026: Apply now for 9195 vacancies of Technical Constables,Tradesmen & Pioneers

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has announced the CRPF Recruitment 2026 for the post of Constable (Technical & Tradesmen and Pioneer) for the year 2026. This recruitment is open for both male and female candidates, encouraging gender balance.

The recruitment process will fill 9195 vacancies for various trades and posts in CRPF as per the rules laid down by the Ministry of Home Affairs. Candidates must apply online within the specified dates, and the selection will be based on a multi-stage selection process.

Vacancies of CRPF Recruitment 2026

Pay Scale

• Selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level-3 with a salary range between Rs. 21,700 and Rs. 69,100.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be Indian citizens.
• Age Limit:
  • Constable (Driver): 21-27 years as of 01/01/2026.
  • Constable (Motor Mechanic Vehicle/ Cobbler/ Carpenter/ Tailor/ Brass Band/ Pipe Band/ Gardener/ Bugler/ Painter/ Cook/ Barber cum Hair Dresser/ Washer Man/ Women/ Water Carrier/ Safai Karamchari/ Mason/ Plumber/ Electrician): 18-23 years as of 01/01/2026.
  • Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Ex-Servicemen (3 years with conditions), and additional age relaxations for dependent children of 1984 riot victims based on category.

Educational Qualifications

• Driver: Minimum Matriculation or equivalent with Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License and must pass the driving test at recruitment.
• Mechanic Motor Vehicle: Minimum 10th pass with ITI certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle and one-year practical experience, or equivalent apprenticeship certificate.
• Other Tradesmen: Minimum Matriculation or equivalent with proficiency in respective trades.
• Pioneer Wing (Mason/ Electrician): Matriculation or equivalent with one year experience, preference for ITI certificate holders.
• Open and Distance Learning degrees recognized by UGC and Distance Education Bureau are accepted.

Selection Process

The selection process for CRPF Recruitment 2026 includes:

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Physical Standard Test (PST)
• Computer Based Test (CBT)
• Trade/ Skill Test
• Document Verification (DV)
• Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) if required

(i) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates must complete specified running distances within set time limits according to post and gender.

(ii) Physical Standard Test (PST)

• Height and chest measurements vary by category and region with specified relaxations.
• Proportionate weight as per medical standards.

(iii) Computer Based Test (CBT)

• One objective paper of 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
• Subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, English/ Hindi.
• Duration: 2 hours
• Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
• Languages: English and Hindi

(iv) Trade Test

Practical assessment of the specific trade applied for, qualifying with minimum marks.

(v) Medical Examination

Includes initial medical tests and detailed medical examination as per CRPF and Government of India guidelines.

• Ex-servicemen certificates (if applicable)

• Identity proof such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Employer ID Card
• Two recent passport-sized colored photographs
