Assam LP Teacher Recruitment 2024: The Department of Elementary Education in the State of Assam is inviting applications from the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET)/ Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) qualified candidates for filling up 3800 vacancies of Assistant Teachers of LP Schools to support, and strengthen and improve the quality of Elementary Education in the State of Assam.

Salary of LP Teacher

Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”

Eligibility

• Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
• Assam TET or Central TET for Lower Primary
• Either the Language I or the Language II of both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the school, wherein the candidate wishes to apply
• A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for the unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/ MOBC and 45 years for SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD), as on 1st January 2023.
• No person having more than two living children
• The regular teachers already working in LP Schools under DEE, Assam are not allowed to apply for any posts in LP Schools
• A candidate can apply only in one post against one particular ATET/ CTET Roll No

Recruitment Process of Assam LP Teacher Recruitment 2024

• The recruitment process of Assam LP Teacher Recruitment 2024 does not consist of any recruitment test
• The recruitment will be done based on marks obtained by the candidate at Higher Secondary, Diploma in Elementary Education, Teachers’ Eligibility Test and other achievements
• During the form fillup candidates need to set a preference of 3 districts and the merit list of each district will be separate

Marking Scheme

• 5% of marks secured in Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or equivalent Examinations
• 5% of marks secured in the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) examination or Diploma in Education (Special Education)
• 85% of marks secured in the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower Primary Schools
• 5 Marks (Maximum, Even if the candidate possesses all three qualifications/ achievements) if the candidate has any of the following
  1. NCC Certificate – 5 marks for a “C” Certificate and 3 marks for a “B” Certificate Or
  2. 2. 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized sports at the National Level or beyond representing the State or Nation. Or
  3. 3. 5 marks for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing the State at the National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (organized by recognized institutions)
• Total Marks: 100

• HSLC Admit Card
• HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate
• Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education
• DElEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate
• Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H)/ OBC/ MOBC)
• Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam
• Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/ CTET
• Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority
• Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board
