DHS Assam Recruitment 2024: The Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Assam has released an advertisment inviting online applications for the posts of Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), Staff Nurse and Staff Nurse (Critical Care) for a total of 919 vacancies.
- The applicants for the post of Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) need to apply only under one Directorate i.e either under Directorate of Health Services (FW), Assam or Directorate of Health Services, Assam.
- The applicant for the post of Staff Nurse and Staff Nurse (Critical Care) need to apply only under Directorate of Medical Education or Directorate of Health Services, Assam.

Pay Scale
The pay scale for any of the three post under DHS Assam Recruitment 2024 will be Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 70000/- with grade pay Rs. 6200/-

The category-wise age limit for DHS Assam Recruitment 2024 as of 1st January 2024 are as follows-

Educational Qualification
Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM): The applicant must be an ANM Training passed from Assam Govt Institution or Institution recognized by India Nursing Council must be registered under Assam Nursing Council.
Staff Nurse: The applicant must have GNM Diploma/ B.Sc (Nursing) Degree from any Institute / Nursing College recognized by Indian Nursing Council and must be registered under Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors Council.
Staff Nurse (Critical Care):
- GNM Diploma / B.Sc (Nursing) Degree or above from any institute/ nursing college recognized by Indian Nursing Council and must be registered under Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors Council along with Employment Exchange registration of Assam.
- Applicant should have experience of working in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) at least for a period of one year.
Note: The applicant for any of the above post under DHS Assam Recruitment 2024 must possess a valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate issued by the State of Assam.
Selection Procedure
- The detailed selection process will be notified in due course on the official website of the Directorate of Health Services (Family Welfare), Assam
- Preference to Contractual Employees: Preference will be given to contractual employees under NHM, Assam and other societies under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Assam who apply for any post advertised.
