GATE 2022: Response sheet released, Answer key on 21 February

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) was concluded today and the response sheet of all students is available on the official website.

GATE 2022: Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur had completed the commencement of the GATE 2022 examinations and released the response sheet of the students appearing for the examinations. The examinations started on the 5th of February, 2022, and ended on the 13th of February, 2022. After much speculations regarding the shifting of dates of the exams, the Supreme Court (SC) had given the decision to continue with the offline examinations in Computer Based Test (CBT) format. Many students group wanted to shift the dates of examinations.

The response sheet released today will help the students to check their answers, once the answer key has been released. As per the notice, the answer key will be available from the 21st of February, 2022.

GATE 2022: How to get the response sheet?

  1. Go to the official website – gate.iitkgp.ac.
  2. Now, log in using your enrollment ID or email ID and password.
  3. Click view exam detail.
  4. Students can check responses and download question paper as well.

About the exam

GATE primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into the Master’s Program and Recruitment by some Public Sector Companies. GATE 2022 is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and six other Indian Institutes of Technology at Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, Roorkee & Indian Institute of Science at Bengaluru on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

The students were quite satisfied with the overall examinations. The question papers for Master’s students were quite satisfactory whereas the question papers of engineering students were moderate. The Mechanical Engineering(ME) and Civil Engineering(CE) paper were labeled moderately tough. The answer key will be available from Monday and it can be challenged from Tuesday to Friday (22nd February to 25th February respectively).
