The National Testing Agency (NTA) released a notification yesterday, on the 13th of February, and informed about the registration process for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test, GPAT 2023. The application portal is now open and interested candidates will have time upto 05:00 PM on 6th March 2023 to submit their forms.
NTA has not announced the date in this notification for the entrance test to select Pharmacy Graduates for admission into the Masters’s (M.Pharma) Program. Last year, it was conducted on 9th April 2022 from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon.

Eligibility Criteria for GPAT 2023
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s Degree B.Pharmacy (10+2+4) whose results will be declared before the commencement of admission for the academic year 2023-24 can also apply for GPAT 2023.
- B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are not eligible to apply.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT 2023.
GPAT 2023: How to register?
- Visit the official website of GPAT 2023, i.e. gpat.nta.nic.in
- Click on the link given for registrations
- Once you are redirected to the registration portal, click on the “New Registration” button
- Read the instructions carefully and then fill out the registration form
- Next, fill in the Online Application Form and upload your recent photograph, signature, and all necessary documents, whichever is applicable
- Lastly, pay the application fees and submit your form
- Don’t forget to download the Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which would be downloadable only after the successful remittance of the fee) for further reference

Exam Pattern
- The GPAT 2023 will have 500 marks in total and the paper will consist of 125 questions.
- The total duration of the examination is 3 hours (180 minutes).
- The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English only.
- And for every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded to the candidate; whereas for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
