IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026: Apply now for clerical vacancies

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) announces the Common Recruitment Process (CRP CSA -XVI) for the recruitment of Customer Service Associates (Clerical posts) in participating public sector banks for vacancies in the year 2027-28. This recruitment involves a two-phase online examination: Preliminary and Main. According to the notification of IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026, online registrations began on 1st August, with the application deadline being 21st of August, 2026.

Vacancies of IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026

Pay Scale

• The candidates selected under IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 will recieve basic pay ranging from ₹24,050 to ₹64,480 as per the pay scale ₹24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480
• Allowances and other perquisites will be granted following the rules of the participating banks.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

• Citizens of India, or subjects of Nepal, or Bhutan.
• Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
• Persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement.
• Candidates must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India if not citizens of India.

Age Limit (As on 1st August 2026)

• Minimum age: 20 years
• Maximum age: 28 years
• Relaxation applicable for SC, ST, OBC, persons with benchmark disabilities, ex-servicemen, and qualifying women candidates as per government norms.

Educational Qualifications (As on 21st August 2026)

• To be eligible for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026, candidates will need a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
• Computer literacy is mandatory – certificate/ diploma/ degree in computer operations or IT or studied computer/ IT as a subject.
• Ex-servicemen without civil examination qualifications should be matriculates with relevant defense certificates and minimum 15 years of service.

Selection Process

• The selection procedure of IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 involves two online examinations: Preliminary and Main.
• Candidates who qualify prelims will be eligible for the mains.
• Provisional allotment to participating banks is based on merit-cum-preference and reservation policies.

Preliminary Exam

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. An adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by IBPS, depending upon requirements, will be shortlisted for the Main examination.

Mains Exam

Marks obtained in the online main examination only will be considered for the final merit listing of IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026.

• Proof of date of birth (e.g., Birth Certificate or SSLC Certificate).
• Valid photo identity proof matching application name.
• Graduation mark sheets and certificates.
• 10th standard or equivalent certificate evidencing local language proficiency (if applicable).
• Caste/ category certificates (SC/ ST/ OBC with non-creamy layer clause, EWS certificate).
• Disability certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
• Ex-servicemen relevant certificates and discharge documents (if applicable).
• No Objection Certificate from current employer for government/ quasi-government employees.
• Death/ divorce/ judicial separation certificates and affidavits for claiming widow or divorced women category relaxation (if applicable).
• Any other relevant supporting documents as per eligibility claims.

• Proceed to register yourself with the required necessities

• Proceed to the payment section, and pay the fees through any one of the available options
• Then submit the online application form
