This job opportunity aims to hire people for 1899 open positions for the recruitment of various meritorious sports persons in the given departments.

The vacancies of Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, Postman, Mail Guard and MTS, under India Post Recruitment 2023 are detailed below:

Pay Scale

The remuneration for candidates selected in the India Post Recruitment 2023 will include salary and other allowances. The salary details are given below:

Eligibility

The candidate applying for India Post Recruitment 2023 must have to fulfil the eligibility criteria in the following category:

Age

The relaxation in the upper age limit by five (5) years shall be allowed in each case. In addition, relaxation in the upper age limit of five (5) years shall be allowed only to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) in each case. Accordingly, a total of 10 years of age relaxation is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ ST only.

Educational Criteria

The required educational criteria for the candidate applying under India Post Recruitment 2023 are given below:

For Postal Assistant and Sorter Assistant:

• The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
• They must have a knowledge of working on computers.

For Postman and Mail Guard:

• The candidate should have passed the 12th standard pass from a recognized Board.
• The candidate should have also passed the local language of the concerned Postal Circle or Division as one of the subjects in the 10th standard (As per official notice).
• They must have knowledge of working on Computers and have a valid license to drive a two-wheeler or Light Motor Vehicle (For the post of Postman only).

For Multi-Tasking Staff:

The candidate should have passed the 10th standard from a recognized Board.

Meritorious Sports criteria

• Those sportspersons who have represented a State or the Country in the National or International competition in any of the sports/ games mentioned in the official notification of India Post Recruitment 2023 are eligible.
• Those sportspersons who have represented their university in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of the sports/ games in the official notification of India Post Recruitment 2023 are eligible.
• Those sportspersons who have represented the State School teams in the National Sports/ Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the sports/ games mentioned in the official notification of India Post Recruitment 2023 are eligible.
• Those sportspersons who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive are eligible.

Documents Required

• Certificate of Knowledge of Computer
• Proof of date of birth (as submitted during the online application)
• Valid documents relating to age, education, and other qualifications applicable for the post(s) applied for
• Category certificate
• Sports qualification information (As per the prescribed formats given below)

How to apply?

To apply for various posts under India Post Recruitment 2023, they must follow the given steps:

• The candidate must click on the ‘Online Application Portal’ option as directed below in the Important Link section
• At the first onset, they must ‘Register’ by providing information of their name, email, phone number, and other information as required
• Next, log in using the Registration number/ Phone Number
• Enter the personal details and information about educational qualifications
• Upload all the necessary meritorious sports certificates as per the achievements (Format of certificates given below)
• Upload the necessary images/ documents and pay the fee using any one of the available options
• After completing these steps, preview all the information entered and submit the form
• Lastly, download the application form and the payment receipt for future reference

Selection Procedure

The final selection under India Post Recruitment 2023 will be based on marks attained by the candidate. The marks will be based on the evaluation of the candidate’s participation in various International/ National/ Inter-University/ National Games for School/ Physical Efficiency Drive events as laid below:

• All those candidates who fulfill the conditions given in the eligibility section and possess a certificate in the prescribed form issued by the competent authority for various events in either International/ National/ Inter-University/ National Games for School/ Physical Efficiency Drive mentioned in the shall be eligible for inclusion in the provisional merit list as per their preference for both Cadre as well as Postal Circle to the extent of the number of vacancies notified for each Cadre (Post).
• Based on the above-mentioned events, the final merit list will be prepared.
• A candidate shall be considered for the first preferred cadre for all opted Postal Circles followed by the 2nd preferred cadre for all opted Postal Circles and so on. The candidates will not be considered for cadres/ Postal Circles not opted by him/ her.
