JEE (Main) 2022 Session 1: Deadline for online application extended, apply now

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a notification yesterday on 1st April, 2022 regarding the extension of the application deadline for session 1 of JEE (Main) examination 2022. Previously, the last date to apply for JEE (Main) was 31st March and now it is extended up to 5th April 2022.

JEE (Main) 2022 Application Deadline extended: Why?

NTA has come up with the notification and announced the extension of 5 days for the submission of Online Application Forms for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2022 Session 1, considering the numerous complaints and requests received from the applicants. As reported, many candidates while trying to fill up their forms faced problems due to various reasons, and many students were not able to complete the process. Recently, NTA has also rescheduled the same examinations as some of the examination dates were clashing with the Class 12th board examinations.

New Examination Centres

Additionally, NTA has also announced the inclusion of a total of 12 new Foreign Cities as examination centres to the existing 13 Cities for the conduct of JEE (Main)– 2022 Session 1. The decision was made because of the demand of the Indian diaspora in various foreign cities and now the tally of foreign examination centres for JEE reached 25. The list of all the Examination Cities which are Outside-India can be found in the Annexure-I of the latest notification.

On the notification, NTA has also informed that there might be changes in the dates of Advance Intimation of Examination City, Downloading of Admit Cards, and Declaration of Result due to the extension of the application deadline. And all such changes will be displayed on the JEE (Main) portal in a few days. So, candidates are requested to keep on visiting the official websites of NTA.
