KKHSOU Admissions 2023: Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) is north-east India’s first and only state-open university. KKHSOU is currently accepting online applications from eligible candidates for admission into various programmes for the academic session 2023-24. Candidates interested in pursuing any of the offered UG, PG, Diploma & Certificate courses through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode can now apply for KKHSOU Admissions 2023. Registrations for Admissions are open and will be available till August 31st, 2023.

Pursue 2 Courses simultaneously
As per the UGC Guidelines issued in April 2022, KKHSOU allows the learners to pursue two academic programmes (UG and/or PG) simultaneously subject to fulfilment of the eligibility conditions for enrolment to the programmes.
For example, if a learner is enrolled in a programme of KKHSOU in the Summer (July) session, he/she may enrol in the second programme in the Winter (January) cycle. However, this condition shall not be applied to the learners of other Universities or Higher Education Institutes if he/she desires to enrol in the second programme at KKHSOU.
Course Structure
(a) 4 Year UG Programme
Under the Four Year Undergraduate programme of the University, six different types of courses, conforming to NEP 2020 guidelines, have been offered by KKHSOU. These are:
- Discipline-Specific Core Courses (DSC)
- Discipline-Specific Electives Course (DSE)
- Ability Enhancement Course (AEC)
- Skill Enhancement courses (SEC)
- Inter-Disciplinary courses (IDC)
- Value-Added Course (VAC)
Dissertation/ Project: This is an additional course designed for the learner to acquire special/ advanced knowledge such as supplement study/ support study through a project mode.
(b) 2 Year Post Graduate Programmes
The Two Year Postgraduate Programme offered in KKHSOU Admissions 2023 is in CBCS mode conforming to the UGC provisions for flexibility to the learners in the choice of courses across disciplines
