Students’ Plea

Due to unexpected circumstances faced throughout the ongoing Covid19 Pandemic, the academic sessions were mainly under the online curriculum. But as the Maharashtra University exams 2022 have been decided to be conducted in offline mode, especially by universities such as Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Mumbai University, etc, the students have raised many obstacles they have faced during this time. This includes public transportation facilities or hostel facilities, which were also not made available thereon.

All the students of Maharashtra stated Universities and affiliated colleges consequently raised their voice with the help of social media. They reached out to the concerned authorities with a plea for conducting the examinations in online mode. The students wrote to the Chief Minister and also to Governor B S Koshyari.

Along with the support of a few student organisations, the students continued their protest for two days via Twitter.

Authorities support offline exams!

The Maharashtra Technical and Higher Education Minister Uday Samant, regarding Maharashtra University Offline exams, 2022, through his official Twitter handle finally announced the mode of conducting the semester examinations. But unfortunately, the announcement was not made in the favour of the students’ plea. The examinations are to be held in offline mode.

Though earlier, the Nagpur University had favoured the decision in favour of the students, the state authorities were furious over this decision. Again the student organisation bodies have warned to stick the decision to conduct in the online mode and cautioned of any flip-flops later on.
