Eligibility Criteria

Educational Criteria

• Candidates with at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent grade points on the UGC 10-point grading scale at the Master’s Degree/ M.Phil Degree or equivalent level in the concerned or allied/ cognate subject from University or a recognized institution (national/ international) are eligible for admission. A relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) or equivalent grade points shall be given to candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ EWS/ Differently-abled and other categories as per the UGC decision and approved by the Academic Council from time to time.
• A candidate seeking admission to Ph.D programme after a 4-year/ 8-semester Bachelor’s Degree programme should have a minimum of 75% aggregate marks or equivalent grade. A relaxation of 5% marks (from75% to 70%) or equivalent grade points shall be given to candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ EWS/ Differently-abled and other categories as per the UGC decision and approved by the Academic Council from time to time.
