NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025: The National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Limited, a Navratna Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, invites online applications from promising, energetic, and bright candidates for one-year Apprenticeship Training in various trades at its different units.

The online application window for NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025 will remain open from 11th July 2025 to 11th August 2025.

Vacancies

Various vacancies under NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025 is given below:

Pay Scale

• The monthly stipend for Graduate Apprentices during the one-year apprenticeship training period will be ₹15,000.
• For Diploma Apprenticeship posts, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹13,500 during the one-year apprenticeship tenure.
• The stipend for ITI Apprentices during the training period will be ₹12,000 per month.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates who want to apply under NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025 must possess educational qualifications as mentioned above and are medically fit as per the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961 are eligible to apply. Candidates awaiting the results of the qualifying examination at the time of application or those who have already undergone apprenticeship training of 01 year or more are not eligible to apply.

Age

The apprentice should not be less than 18 years of age and the maximum age shall not be more than 30 years. However, the relaxations to the reserved category shall be given as per the Govt. guidelines.

Educational Criteria

• Graduate Apprenticeship: Candidates applying for Graduate Apprenticeship under NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025 must possess a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institute. This includes fields such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, HR, Finance, CSR, Law, Public Relations, and others as specified in the advertisement.
• Diploma Apprenticeship: For Diploma Apprenticeship posts under NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025, applicants must have a Diploma in the respective trade from a recognized technical education board or institution. This applies to disciplines like Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Nursing, Hospitality, Safety, Pharmacy, E&C, and others as per the post requirements.
• ITI Apprenticeship: Candidates interested in ITI Apprenticeship roles should hold a valid ITI certificate in the relevant trade from a recognized NCVT/ SCVT institute. Eligible trades include Electrician, Fitter, Plumber, Computer Operator, Draughtsman, Stenographer, Welder, Machinist, Carpenter, and others

Selection Process

• There will be no interview for any of the position under NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025
• Selection of eligible candidates will be done purely on the basis of merit, which will be drawn from academic performance as per the following weightage

1. Graduate Apprentice

• 20% weightage to 10th Class marks
• 20% weightage to 12th / Diploma (whichever is higher, in case both are available)
• 60% weightage to aggregate marks in Graduation / Post-Graduation (in the relevant subject)
• Total: 100%

2. Diploma Technician Apprentice

• 30% weightage to 10th Class marks
• 70% weightage to aggregate marks in Diploma in Engineering (in the relevant discipline)
• Total: 100%

3. ITI Technician Apprentice

• 30% weightage to 10th Class marks
• 70% weightage to aggregate marks in ITI
• Total: 100%

Documents required

• Copy of completed Apprenticeship Registration/ Enrolment Form done at NATS/ NAPS portal.
• Scanned copies of educational certificates and mark sheets (clear and legible).
• Proof of Age (Matriculation Certificate).
• SC/ ST/ latest OBC (NCL) Caste certificate as per Govt of India formats (as applicable)
• Recent colour passport-sized photograph and signature

How to apply for NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025

1. Register on Apprenticeship Portals clicking on the link given below in Important Link section
   • For ITI Trades: Register at NAPS Portal as a candidate/student and complete your profile by uploading all required documents.
   • For Graduate/ Diploma Apprentices: Register at NATS Portal and complete your profile with all necessary details and documents.
2. After successful registration, obtain your NAPS/ NATS registration/ enrolment number.
3. On NHPC Website given below, go to Career then to Engagement of Apprentice & then to Apply Now section
4. Fill and submit the online application using your NAPS /NATS registration number.
5. Application under NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025 must be submitted online only through the NHPC official website. Applications via any other mode will not be accepted.

Application fee

The candidates applying under NHPC Apprenticeship programme 2025 do not have to pay for any appliucation fee.
