The Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) has published an advertisement via Adv. No: NPCIL/ HQ/ HRM/ ET/ 2025/ 02 for recruiting Executive Trainee against 400 vacancies under the NPCIL Recruitment 2025. Pay Scale
- The stipend during the internship for selected candidates under the NPCIL Recruitment 2025 will be Rs. 74,000/-
- A one-time Book Allowance of Rs. 30,000/- will be given.
- Lodging and boarding are mandatory and will be provided in the accommodation arranged by NPCIL.
- After completing training, the Executive Trainee will be appointed Scientific Officer/ C in Group ‘A’ and receive a pay of Rs. 56,000/- with Pay Level 10 and other Dearness Allowance.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Criteria
- The upper age limit for candidates to apply for NPCIL Recruitment 2025 is 26 years, as of 30th April 2025.
- However, there are certain Age relaxations as given below:
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 10 years
- Dependents of those who died in 1984 riots (Dep 1984): 5 years
- Ex-servicemen and commissioned officers: 5 years
- For applicants eligible for age relaxation in more than one category, cumulative age relaxation available is subject to a maximum of 56 years.
- There is no age limit for employees serving in NPCIL who otherwise fulfil the prescribed criteria.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a BE/ B Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering)/5-year Integrated M. Tech with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in one of the 6 engineering disciplines mentioned in the above table from a University/ Deemed University or Institute recognized by AICTE/ UGC.
- Applicants must have a valid GATE-2023 or GATE-2024, or GATE-2025 Score in the same engineering discipline as the qualifying degree discipline for the NPCIL Recruitment 2025.
- Applicants whose final results are awaited and/or who are appearing for the final year/semester examination during 2025 may also apply.
- Candidates with qualifying degrees in the Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics and Controls, and Electronics & Telecommunication disciplines are eligible to apply under Electronics. However, such candidates must qualify based on a valid GATE score in Electronics.
- Also, candidates with a qualifying degree in ‘Instrumentation & Control’ are eligible to apply under Instrumentation. However, such candidates must qualify based on a valid GATE score in Instrumentation for the NPCIL Recruitment 2025.
Selection Process
The selection procedure for the NPCIL Recruitment 2025 will be based on-
- Candidates will be first shortlisted for a personal interview for the post of Executive Trainee.
- Shortlisting will be based on merit, using valid scores from GATE 2023, GATE 2024, and GATE 2025 Scores by applying the ratio of 1:12.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) will be shortlisted separately by applying a 1:12 ratio in each category of disability for which vacancies are reserved.
- If more than one candidate has the same cut-off mark, all of them will be shortlisted for the interview.
- The qualifying marks of the interview for the Unreserved category will be 70%, and for EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL)/ PwBD, it will be 60%.
- If there is a tie in interview marks, the following criteria will be used to decide the merit rank-
- Candidates with a higher GATE score will be ranked higher.
- If both interview marks and GATE scores are equal, the older candidate will be ranked higher.

- Provisional passing Certificate (in case the Final Degree Certificate is not issued)
- GATE 2023/ GATE 2024/ GATE 2025 Admit Card and Score Card
- Applicants working in Central/ State Government/ PSUs/ Aided Institutions/ Autonomous Bodies should bring a “No Objection Certificate” from the organization
- Certificate in support of being Dependant of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA), (if applicable)
- Certificate of being Ex-Serviceman (if applicable)
- Caste Certificate (if any)
- Applicants are required to furnish a Gazette Notification/ certificate in respect of change of name, if applicable.
How to apply for the NPCIL Recruitment 2025?
To apply for NPCIL Recruitment 2025, follow the steps given below.
- First, visit the application portal using the link given below
- Click on the button saying “Click for New Registration” and get registered
- Once registered, log in to the recruitment portal and fill in all the details as asked on the website
- Next, upload the necessary documents and images
- After that, pay the application fee using any one of the available options
- Lastly, submit the application form for the NPCIL Recruitment 2025 and download it along with the payment receipt for future reference
Application Fee
- All the male applicants belonging to General (UR), EWS and OBC categories will need to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500.
- Female applicants, applicants belonging to SC/ST category, PwBD, Ex Servicemen, Dependents of Defence Personnel Killed in Action (DODPKIA) and employees of NPCIL are exempted from payment of application fee.
