PNRD Recruitment 2026: Apply Now for 1508 Rural Development Posts

The Commissionerate of Panchayat and Rural Development, Assam, has announced the PNRD Recruitment 2026 inviting applications for 1508 contractual posts. Vacancies of PNRD Recruitment 2026

Salary

• Accredited Engineer: ₹18,000 per month
• Gram Rozgar Sahayak: ₹15,000 per month
• Computer Assistant: ₹15,000 per month
• Gram Panchayat Coordinator: ₹15,000 per month

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• The candidates’ age should be in between 18 to 40 years.
• Relaxation in maximum age:
  • SC/ ST candidates: 5 years
  • OBC/ MOBC candidates: 3 years
  • PH candidates: 10 years

Educational Qualification

• Accredited Engineer: Diploma in Civil Engineering plus Diploma in Computer Application.
• Gram Rozgar Sahayak/ Computer Assistant/ Gram Panchayat Coordinator: Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks from recognized university/institution; Distance Education degrees approved by DEC/ UGC/ AICTE are valid.
• Must possess a Diploma in Computer Application for minimum six months for respective posts.

Language Skills

Candidates applying for PNRD Recruitment 2026 should have good knowledge of English and Hindi besides Assamese for effective communication with the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.

Selection Process

• Written Examination:
  • Paper-1 for Gram Panchayat Coordinator, Computer Assistant, Gram Rozgar Sahayak
  • Paper-2 for Accredited Engineer
• Written test is OMR based with 75 questions, 75 marks, negative marking applicable.
• Viva voce of 25 marks for candidates who qualify written examination.
• Merit lists will be prepared category wise. Final selection will be equal to number of vacancies advertised.
• Waiting list will be valid for one year from the date of result publication.

Exam Pattern

• The written test of PNRD Recruitment 2026 will consist of 75 questions, each worth 1 mark, to be completed in 2 hours.
• Sections include Domain Knowledge, Computer Proficiency, Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, Comprehension, History and Culture of Assam and India, and General Knowledge.
• For Accredited Engineer post, additional technical knowledge questions will be included.
• Negative marking of 0.25 for 1-mark questions and 0.5 for 2-mark questions.

• Signature on white paper, scanned in JPEG format
• Proof of age (Birth certificate or HSLC Admit Card)
• ID Proof (PAN card, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, etc.)
• Mark sheets and certificates of minimum educational qualification
• Certificate of computer proficiency (for relevant posts)
• Caste certificate for OBC/ MOBC, SC, ST (P), ST (H) candidates
• Disability certificate if applying under PH category
