State Bank of India has released the admit cards for SBI Clerk Prelims 2023 exam, which will be held from 5th of January, 2024.
SBI Clerk Admit Card 2023: The State Bank of India has released the call letters for the SBI Clerk Prelims 2023. All the candidates who had applied for 8283 vacancies of clerical positions in various branches of SBI can now download their admit cards and appear in the preliminary test, which will be conducted on the 5th, 6th, 11th and 12th of January 2024.

About the Recruitment Drive
This job opportunity aims to recruit eligible candidates for 8283 vacant positions of junior associates. Out of which, 430 posts are available for the candidates residing in Assam. The remuneration for candidates who get selected will include salary and other allowances. The starting Basic Pay is Rs. 19900 (Rs.17900 plus two advance increments admissible to graduates). Overall, the approximate salary will be around Rs 26,000 – to Rs 29,000.

Candidates who have applied online for the SBI Clerk Prelims 2023 can download their admit cards for the written test by following the steps mentioned below:
- To begin, visit the SBI Clerk Prelims 2023 webpage by clicking the link provided below
- Input your login details, which include Registration No/ Roll No and Password or Date of Birth
- Subsequently, click the login button to view the candidate’s admit card
- Finally, download the admit card and obtain a printout as it will be needed while going to the prelims test
Selection Procedure
The recruitment process for SBI – Junior Associate includes 2 phases, that is the preliminary examination and the Main examination. There is no interview round for selecting candidates for posts of SBI clerk. However, there will be a test of the specified opted local language to check that the candidate is proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the specified local language of that State/ UT as mentioned in the information bulletin.
Phase I (Preliminary Exam)
The first phase, that is SBI Clerk Prelims 2023 will be an online Computer based test, that includes multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. This test will be qualifying, and candidates will be allowed to sit in the Main Examination based on scores in this phase. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

- Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above.
- There will be negative marks for wrong answers and 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- There will be no Sectional cutoff marks for the exam.
Phase II (Main Examination)
The second phase will also be an online Computer based test, that will include multiple-choice questions for 200 marks. The scores obtained by candidates in this phase will be used for the provisional allotment of candidates against the available vacancies. Like the Preliminary test, there will be negative marks for wrong answers and 1/4th of the mark assigned for each question will be deducted for each wrong answer. This test would be of 2 hours and 40 minutes duration consisting of 4 sections as given below:

Phase III (Local Language Test)
- A language test will be conducted after passing the main examination to check the knowledge of the specified opted local language as a part of the selection process.
- Candidates who fail to qualify for this test will not be engaged as junior associates.
- However, if a candidate can submit a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing that they have studied the opted local language, they will not be required to appear in the language test.
