SVNIT Summer Internship 2025: Exciting Opportunities for Engineering and Science Students

SVNIT Summer Internship 2025: The online application for the Summer Internship Program at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat for the year 2025, is now open. Bachelor’s and Master’s students in the discipline of Science and Engineering are eligible to apply. SVNIT : An Overview

The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Summer Internship Program (SSIP) was initiated in 2018 with the aim is to foster research interest among Engineering and Science students. The internship is open to both the students of the institute as well as students from other institutes in India. Through this internship, candidates will participate in research & development projects under SVNIT faculty.

The following departments are participating in the SVNIT Summer Internship 2025 –

• DoCE – Department of Civil Engineering
• DoME – Department of Mechanical Engineering
• DoChE – Department of Chemical Engineering
• DoEE – Department of Electrical Engineering
• DoECE – Department of Electronics Engineering
• DoCSE – Department of Computer Science & Engineering
• DoAI – Department of Artificial Intelligence
• DoP – Department of Physics
• DoC – Department of Chemistry
• DoM – Department of Mathematics

Eligibility Criteria

• The B.E./B.Tech students who have completed at least the 5th semester with a good academic record are eligible.
• Students enrolled in the Integrated 5-Year M.Sc program who have completed at least the 5th semester with a good academic record are eligible.
• Final year students or already pass-out students are not eligible.
• Must be available throughout the internship duration (no late joining/early leaving allowed).

Accommodation and Other Facilities

• As part of the SVNIT Summer Internship 2025, selected candidate will receive a stipend of 5000 INR per month.
• Candidate will have access to the following –
  • Laboratory & Library (without book borrowing)
  • Internet & Medical Consultation at the SVNIT dispensary
  • Hostel Accommodation (it will be on a paid basis)
  • Mess & Canteen Facilities (the cost to be borne by the intern)

Selection Criteria

• The selection procedure consists of a preliminary screening of applications followed by an interview (online mode) department/ mentor faculty wise at the option of the concerned Department.
• Selection may depend upon consistently brilliant academic performance, Project write up, work carried out by the student besides his regular academic work, and performance in the interview.
• The decision of the SVNIT Surat authorities shall be final.
• No correspondence shall be entertained in this matter

Note:

• Applicants should be among the top 20% based on CGPA / % score in all the previous years in his/ her discipline in the College/ Institution/University and to be certified by the Dean (Academic)/ Head of the Institute/ Principal at the time of the application (Submit through the attached Google Form).
• Students must submit a Project Write up (Maximum 500 words) and upload the single pdf file in Google Form.
• He/ she should have all grade sheets till the previous semesters (Example, if he/ she appears for 6th semester examination in April/May 2025, up to 5th semester result should be available at the time of online application). All uploaded mark sheets must be self certified by the candidate.
