Tezpur University Recruitment 2026: The Tezpur Central University, located in Tezpur, Assam, is looking to fill a total of nine vacancies across the Departments of Social Work, Education, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, and Linguistics and Language Technology.

Under Tezpur University Recruitment 2026, all appointments will be made for a period of eleven months, or till the regular vacancies are filled, whichever is earlier, with a provision for further extension based on requirement and satisfactory performance. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

For all four departments, candidates must meet either of the following two routes.

• A Ph.D. degree in the advertised area of subject/specialization, with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in the preceding Master’s degree in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. The Ph.D. must be in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016.
• OR a Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by QS, THE, or the ARWU of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
• For the Department of Education specifically, candidates additionally need either a Master’s Degree in Education with at least 55% marks along with a B.Ed with at least 55% marks, or an M.Sc./M.A. in any subject with at least 55% marks along with an M.Ed Degree with at least 55% marks.

Selection Process

• The Academic score specified under UGC Regulations, 2018, in Appendix II (Table 3A) for universities will be considered only for short-listing candidates for the interview.
• The final selection will be based solely on performance in the personal interview. I
• n case a large number of candidates apply, short-listing will be done on the basis of academic qualifications and experience as per Annexure-II.
