- Associate Professor: PhD with a good academic record and at least 8 years of experience in teaching/ research with a minimum of 7 research publications and a total research score of 75 points.
- Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with 55% marks plus cleared NET/ SLET/ SET or PhD degree fulfilling specific UGC criteria, exempting the need for NET. Certain foreign PhD degrees are also eligible.
Specific disciplines such as Computer Science, Engineering, Dance, Theatre Arts, Music, and Management Studies have additional regulatory qualifications set by relevant authorities, such as AICTE and NCTE.
