UPSC CDS 2 Final Results 2021 are out now; Check out the merit list

UPSC CDS 2 final results of the year 2021 are declared. Candidates can check and download the merit list from the official website.

The Union Public Service Commission has announced the final results of the Combined Defence Services examination, that is UPSC CDS 2 for the year 2021. The final results were declared on the 3rd of June, 2022 and candidates can download their results by visiting the official website.

How to download UPSC CDS 2 Final Results?

Here are the steps involved in downloading the UPSC CDS 2 Final Result 2022:

  • First of all, candidates need to visit the official website of UPSC
  • Then scroll down the page and click on the ‘Final Results’ button
  • Clicking on it will take the candidate to another webpage, where they need to select the link which reads, ‘Examination Final Results’
  • After this step, click on the link saying ‘Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2021’
  • Candidates can now download the PDF file of CDS 2 Final Result
  • Next, candidates need to check if their roll numbers are there on the list of selected candidates

Merit list

The final results are available in PDF format. The results PDF includes the list of the selected candidates, which is arranged in an orderly manner of merit of 142 (81 + 47 + 14) candidates. The three lists may consist of some common candidates’ names.

The merit list is prepared considering all the candidates who have qualified based on the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2021, and SSB interviews, which were organized by the Services Selection Board. The examination for the same was held in November 2021. However, the final result lists presented do not include the result of the Medical examination of the candidates.

Departments

The examination and interview rounds of UPSC CDS 2 were conducted under the Ministry of Defence. The examination is mainly for admission into the 153rd (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 212 F(P) Course.

Vacancies under UPSC CDS 2

The number of vacancies, as intimated by the Government is 100 for the Indian Military Academy (including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificates (Army Wing) holders), 22 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Executive Branch (General Service)/ Hydro [including 03 vacancies for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Naval Wing through NCC Special Entry) holders] and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad [03 vacancies are reserved for NCC ’C’ Certificate (Air Wing) holders through NCC Spl. Entry].

Documents Verification

The candidature of all the selected candidates is provisional for the time being as per the mentioned guidelines by the Commission. This is due to the incompletion of the verification process of date of birth and educational qualifications of the candidates.

The qualified candidates will be asked to present their original certificates along with the attested photocopies of their Date of Birth, Educational qualifications, etc. in their concerned first chosen Headquarters. It may be Army Headquarters, Naval Headquarters, or Air Headquarters; as per their preferences.
