IGNOU BEd Admission 2025: IGNOU has recently released the prospectus for admission into Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme offered in open and distance learning (ODL) mode for the January 2025 cycle. The application portal for submission of the online forms for B.Ed entrance examination is live from 23rd of January, and interested candidates have time up to 21st February, 2025 to apply for the same.

Course Details

• The B.Ed. program must be completed within a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years.
• There is no provision for re-admission or an extension beyond the five-year limit.
• The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program is available only in English and Hindi mediums.
• The course fee is Rs. 55,000/- for the entire programme.
• Apart from course fee, there will be other fees as well like registration fees and examination fees, which starts from Rs. 200 per paper for term-end examinations.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility conditions of IGNOU BEd Admission 2025 are:

• The candidate must have an aggregate of 50% marks in either Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree. 
• Or, candidate can have a Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in Science and technology with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification.
• The candidates must be trained in-service teachers in elementary education and they must have completed an NCTE-recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.
• The minimum age for candidates is 21 years, and there is no upper age limit to apply.

How to apply online?

To apply for the IGNOU BEd Admission 2025, follow the steps below:

• Visit the application portal using the link given below
• Click on the “New Registration” button that appears in the applicant login area
• Fill in the required registration details, and get yourself registered in the portal
• Once registered, log in to the admission portal and fill in all the details as asked on the website
• Next, upload the necessary documents and images, and pay the applicable fee
• Lastly, submit the application form for IGNOU BEd Admission 2025 and download a copy of the form and payment receipts for future reference
• Also, keep a note of the user ID and password, as it will be required for subsequent logins

Application Fees

• The application fee for IGNOU BEd Admission 2025 is 1000 INR.
• It can be paid through Credit Card (Master/ Visa), Debit Card (Master/ Visa/ Rupay) and Net Banking.
• Once payment is made, it can not be refunded except in the case of double payment.

Selection Procedure

The IGNOU BEd Admission 2025 will be based on the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU across India. It will be an online exam, where candidates will get 2 hours to complete the test of 100 marks. The test will be of objective type and medium of instruction will be English and Hindi. Once the results of the entrance exam are announced, IGNOU will admission offer letter to selected candidates. The admission will be subject to proper verification of original documents at the respective regional centers.
