NCET-2025 Registration deadline extended: Check complete details here and Apply before March 31
The NCET 2025 registration deadline has been extended to March 31, allowing candidates to apply online for the exam scheduled on April 29, which offers admission to the 4-year ITEP program.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the National Common Entrance Test, NCET-2025. Initially set to close on March 16, 2025, the application window will now remain open until March 31, 2025, up to 9:00 PM. Candidates can complete their applications on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in. The fee payment window has also been extended to March 31, 2025, up to 11:50 PM.
This extension comes in response to multiple requests from students, educational institutions, and stakeholders facing scheduling conflicts due to ongoing CBSE and other board examinations. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) recommended the extension to accommodate candidates experiencing difficulties in meeting the earlier deadline.

The NCET-2025 is scheduled for April 29, 2025, and will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode. The examination serves as a gateway for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in various Central and State Universities, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, Government Colleges, and other recognized institutions. Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates must have passed or appeared in the 10+2 Intermediate Exam from any recognized board in India.
- For appearing in the NCET-2025, there is no age limit for the candidates.
- As the participating institutions have specific eligibility criteria, candidates are advised to check the details of programmes offered by the participating institutions along with their Eligibility Criteria at the respective Universities or Institutions’ websites, in whichever institution they wish to apply for.
Exam Details
- NCET-2025 will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode.
- The exam will be conducted in 2 shifts on multiple days, depending on the number of applications received.
- The 1st shift exam will be held from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the 2nd shift will be held from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
- There will be 181 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), and candidates must attempt 160 of them.
- Candidates will get 180 minutes to complete the test.
- For every Correct answer, a candidate will receive four marks.
- And the wrong answer(s) will carry a negative marking of 1 mark each, and the Questions Unanswered/ Marked for Review will carry no marks.
- The medium of the question paper will be English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- There are 38 different languages, out of which the examinee needs to select two languages.

Syllabus of NCET-2025
- Language: Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension, Literary Aptitude, and Vocabulary
- Domain Subject: As per Class 12 syllabus only.
- General Test: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, Environmental Literacy, etc.
- Teaching Aptitude: Topics related to the teaching of Science, Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Languages, etc.

How to apply for NCET-2025?
- Candidates who are interested in applying for NCET-2025 and meet eligibility criteria will need to visit the official website by using the link given below
- Next, click on the button given for new registrations
- Then, candidates will have to register by providing their mobile number and email, along with other personal details
- Based on the above details, the registration number will be generated
- After successful registration, candidates must log in using the credentials and fill out the online application form.
- Enter all the details as directed and upload the essential documents in the prescribed format
- After this, the candidate must complete the application form by paying the application fee
- Then, the candidate must preview the application form and click on the “submit” button
- Lastly, take a printout of the payment receipt and application form for future reference
