The Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department (AHVD) recently released an advertisement for a recruitment drive of Veterinary Field Assistants (VFA) against 445 vacancies. The registration process for AHVD Recruitment 2025 has already begun, and interested candidates have until 18th of March 2025 to apply.

Pay Scale

  • The candidates who get selected under AHVD Recruitment 2025 will receive Basic pay of Rs. 14000/- to Rs. 70000/- with grade pay of Rs. 6200/-
  • Also, candidates will be getting other allowances admissible from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification for AHVD Recruitment 2025

  • The candidate must have passed HSSLC (Science) with biology as a subject.
  • The candidate shall have to pass a one year training course in Elementary Knowledge of Veterinary Science.
  • The training course must be from the “School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry” established by the Govt. of Assam at Ghungoor, Silahar.

Age Limit

  • The age of candidates should be between 21 to 40 years of age as on 01/01/2025.
  • Age Relaxation:
    • OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
    • SC/ ST: 5 years

Physical Standard

The candidate must:

  • Be mentally and physically healthy
  • Be free from any physical defects
  • Undergo a medical exam before being hired

This ensures they can perform their duties efficiently.

  • Scanned Photograph
  • Scanned Signature
  • Educational Certificate
  • Age proof Certificiate
  • VFA Training completion Certificate from the School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Assam, Ghungoor, Silchar
  • Caste Certificate (if any)

How to apply for AHVD Recruitment 2025?

  • Fill out the standard application form as per part IX of the Assam Gazette.
  • Attach required documents and a self-addressed envelope with Rs. 5/- stamp.
  • Attach 1 recent photo to the application form using good quality glue.
  • Sign the photo clearly.
  • Include an extra copy of the photo with your application.
  • Make photocopies of your certificates and mark sheets.
  • Write a declaration stating that the copies are true copies of the originals. Attach these copies with your application.
  • Address the application to: Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003.
  • Submit the application:
    • In person: Drop Box at the Directorate during office hours.
    • By mail: Registered Post.
  • If any false information is found in an application, it will be rejected and the applicant will face penalties as per the rules or laws.
  • Applicants must submit self-attested copies of certificates (from HSLC onwards) and any other required documents such as caste, registration, or experience certificates.
  • Documents must be properly tagged to prevent loss during transit; the Directorate is not responsible for any loss due to improper tagging.
  • Incomplete or defective applications will be rejected.
  • No documents will be accepted after the last date of submission.
