APSC Mains 2020 Date sheet released; 3893 students to compete this time

The APSC prelims results were declared on 5th of November, 2021. The date sheet for the Mains examination is now available on the official website.

APSC Mains 2020: Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released the dates for the Mains examination 2020. The Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) is held by the APSC each year to select various students for the administrative services in the state. The prelims examinations were held on the last year, from where many candidates were selected to appear for the Mains 2020. The APSC Mains examinations will start from the 21st of February, 2022. The date sheet is now available on the official website.

APSC Mains 2020: The Exam Dates

APSC has released the exam routine which is scheduled for February. The exam dates and subjects are mentioned below:

The commission has also notified the list of roll numbers of the eligible candidates and an E-Admission notice will be released on the 14th of February on the official website itself. The queries can be emailed to [email protected] from the 15th of February to the 22nd of February.

E-Admit Availability

The commission has clearly said that no E-Admit will be separately given to the email of the selected candidates to appear in the APSC Mains 2020 examinations. The E-Admission certificate or the admit card will be released on the website itself. Students need to download the admit card from the website on the 14th of February. For convenience, a list of the roll numbers of all the exam appearing students is also uploaded on the website.

APSC CCE Examinations: A new ray of hope

APSC follows certain procedures to recruit new members. One through Combined Competitive Examination and the other through Departmental Examinations.

As per requisition of the Govt. of Assam for recruitment in various posts to the Civil Services, advertisement is generally published through print and online media inviting applications in the prescribed form. The written examination consists of two stages:

  1. The Preliminary Examination
  2. The Mains Examination

The preliminary examination would be conducted for two papers with 200 marks each. The APSC Mains 2020 examination would have a total of 2000 marks with each of General Studies (5 papers), Essay and Optional Subjects (I &II) having 250 marks each. The interview would be comprised of 275 marks.

As per the notification, there will be no language papers in the APSC Mains 2020 examination. A court order dated 10th of December, ruled that there will be no language papers as per government notification. So instead of 10 papers, there will be 8 papers in the examination this time.
