Exam Pattern
It is quite certain that the upcoming Assam Direct Recruitment Exam 2023 will follow the same pattern that was followed during the first phase. In the paragraph given below, we have laid out the detailed breakdown of the tests conducted in ADRE 2022.
Grade III
- The selection for Grade III vacancies will be based on 2 stages of the examination. There will be a Written Exam and then the candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for a computer proficiency test/ skill test/ interview.
- There will be 100 multiple-choice questions, carrying 1.75 marks each in the written test for posts with the minimum required qualification of Bachelor’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree with Computer certificate/ diploma.
- There will be 100 multiple-choice questions, carrying 1.5 marks each in the written test for the posts with the minimum required qualification of HSSLC or equivalent and HSLC or Class 10th with a valid LMV Driving Licence.
- There shall be no negative marking.
- The selection of candidates for inviting them for computer proficiency test/ skill test/ interview will be in the ratio of 1:2.

Grade IV
- The selection will be based on 2 stages of the examination, same as Grade III. There will be a Written Exam, which will be followed by an interview of shortlisted candidates.
- There shall be two exams:
- Posts/ categories of Posts for reading up to the Class VIII category
- Posts/ categories of Posts for HSLC passed or equivalent examination passed category
- There will be a total of 135 multiple-choice questions, carrying 1 (one mark) each, to be attempted in 120 minutes.
- There shall be no negative marking.
- The selection of candidates for inviting them for interview/ skill test will be in the ratio of 1:2.
