Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2023: The Assam Academy of Mathematics has recently released the notification for the Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2023. Assam Academy of Mathematics (AAM) annually conducts this state-level mathematics competition for students of classes V – XI, and this year it will be held on 20th of August 2023.

Assam Academy of Mathematics
The Assam Academy of Mathematics, founded on July 18th, 1986, is a non-profit academic organization dedicated to advancing and popularizing the study and research of mathematics in Assam. With the aim of expanding the reach of mathematics education, the academy organizes various competitions, publishes magazines and journals, and hosts symposia, seminars, and discussions.
One of the academy’s notable contributions is the publication of its widely acclaimed magazine, Ganit Bikash. This quarterly publication is available online and features articles covering diverse domains of mathematics, theoretical computer science, and theoretical physics. By making these resources easily accessible, the academy strives to foster the development and enrichment of mathematical knowledge among its readers.

Awards of Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2023
- The top five scorers in each category will be awarded ranks.
- Prizes and books will be awarded to the rank holders.
- Selected students will be awarded certificates of merit.
- Selected students will be awarded certificates of appreciation.
Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2023
The Assam Mathematics Olympiad 2023 is scheduled to be held on the 20th of August, 2023 in its 52 exam centres in the state.
The competition will be held in three categories, namely-
- Category I – classes V and VI
- Category II – classes VII and VIII and
- Category III – classes IX, X, and XI

- RMO – Regional Mathematical Olympiad
- IOQM – Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (previously PRMO)

- iMOTC – International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp
- TST – Team Selection Tests (these are IMO-styled tests that are held to select the Indian IMOteam in IMOTC)
