No Merit List this time!
As per the prior decision of the Board to foster a healthy learning environment and discourage unhealthy competition among students, the CBSE has chosen not to release a merit list. Additionally, the Board will not be assigning first, second, or third divisions to students. However, the Board will recognize the academic excellence of the top 0.1% of students in each subject by awarding them merit certificates.
Verification, Photocopy & Re-Evaluation of Results
CBSE will continue to offer students the same facilities as in previous years for mark verification, obtaining photocopies, and re-evaluation. A separate notice is being issued to provide detailed information regarding these procedures. It is important to note that the facility will be available starting from the 16th of May, 2023.
Improvement Examination
In alignment with the recommendations set forth by the National Education Policy 2020, CBSE has implemented a change in the terminology of the Compartment Examination, now referred to as the Supplementary Examination. Emphasizing the importance of providing students with ample opportunities to enhance their academic performance, as envisioned in the National Education Policy-2020, Class X students will be given the chance to improve their scores in two subjects through the supplementary examination.
The Supplementary examination for all students in the Supplementary category and those seeking performance enhancement will be conducted in July 2023. The specific dates for the examination will be announced in due course. It is worth noting that the syllabus for the Supplementary examination will be based on the Main Examination-2023.
